When did you know? I'm in a sappy romantic mood- When did you know that you current partner was "the ONE" haha Give me all those sweet and sappy stories! :) |
There wasn't an exact moment when I knew my fiance was "the one", but with the way our relationship has been, it would be hard to say he wasn't the one. I can tell the moment when I first knew I loved him though. We were only together for about 3 months and he just got a motorcycle and was learning still. Well he told me he was going for a ride around the neighborhood with a friend. Later on that night we went out and he started talking about how he almost dropped the bike on a busy road earlier, so basically he lied to me, saying he wasn't going on the busy road. I was upset that he lied, but right away I worried about him and was so happy that he was o.k, I didn't care that he lied. That was when I realized that I loved him. He apologized, said he didn't tell me because he didn't want me to worry, I told him how I felt though and we worked through it. |
Hmm... I can't say 100% for sure that he is "the one" but for now I feel like he is. We actually met online, but not on a dating site. His mom was on the Petfinder msg board and one day we were posting pics of ourselves and I posted a picture and typed "see, I"m really cute... I have no idea why I'm single. If anyone has any cute brothers, friends, sons, cousins, etc around my age, send them my way". I was sooo just joking, but a few minutes later I got a PM. It was a member that said she had a cute son. I didn't really think he was that cute at first, but I said she could send him my myspace page, so she did and he added me as a friend and we started talking. For about 2 yrs off and on we would talk... but date other people but every time we were both single we would joke how we were going to end up together and it was fate. He was already talking about marriage and kids before we even met. We didn't talk for several months because he didn't have internet anymore, but at Thanksgiving he went out to visit his bro and got on myspace for the first time in months and sent me a msg and got my cell # and we started texting back and forth all day everyday. We started talking about visiting each other (finally!) and in February I bit the bullet and bought a plane ticket out to see him. We finally met in April. We had said "i love you" several times before we met, but the moment I really felt it was he was teaching me how to play pool and I made a really awesome shot (total beginners luck) and he gave me a high five and gave me a quick smooch on the lips.. I don't know why, but that was the moment I really did truly love him. It so weird, but some days my heart just feels like it is just about to bust I love him so much. Just thinking about him makes me so happy. I can't wait til things finally get situated to where we can at least live in the same state. Sorry for the long rambling story.. i didn't mean to type that much, lol. |
Oh this is VERY easy! The first time he recorded himself singing me a song, and he is not just tone deaf.. but DEAF and he was singing and recording it for me.... ha ha I fell for him then and there. He does the cutiest things for me everyday.. my lil cutie Leo here.. he was a gift from MR RIGHT |
I knew at this point it was going to go far....which it did.. we have been married for 23 years. But on our first date, we went to a Mexican restaurant, and ordered a margarita!! He said my mom loves Margaritas, and I thought..oh what a nice boy talking about his mom on our first date;):D....To this day we all still all joke about it, because when I told his mom later about it she said, my gosh, he made me sound like a drunk/alcoholic!!! teehee We all know how Mom likes her Margaritas!!! |
We talked on the phone for about 1 1/2 months before going out on a date. Shortly after he would just do "caring" things...and I don't think at that point I had ever been treated like a woman before so I knew I couldn't let him go...he is a true gentleman still to this day..WHATEVER...12.5 years later...he tells me when I am a bitch too! :sidesplt: |

Mine isn't really cute or romantic, but.... It was the second time we had ever met. our first meeting was at a party my brother threw at his college. We went to different schools about 2 hours apart. Our first meeting we talked & had a nice time, but nothing came of it. Our second meeting my brother & he came to my school for halloween. They were old enough to go to bars & I wasn't. I went my way to my parties & they went there's. On the way home I passed them on the street walking home. My husband jumped into my car & my brother told me to take him home with me. At the time I figured it would be more comfortable for him to crash on my sofa then for him to sleep on the floor at the frat so I took him home. I didn't realize til we got home how drunk he was. I finally got him to kiss me & then he passed out in my bed. When we woke up the next morning; it wasn't at all awkward, like it should have been. I mean i didn't know this person & I was waking up next to him. It was like we had known each other forever & it was completely comfortable & I knew right then he was the one. And we'll be married 6 years in august. |
I was in a very serious relationship that lasted for almost 6 years when one day, out of the blue, my ex broke it off, still to this day not giving me an explanation. I had a VERY hard time getting over him and there are still days when I catch myself thinking about him. I wasn't even looking for a boyfriend when I found Blake. Blake and I had known each other for years through 4-H and cattle shows but had never been anything more than casual buddies. Then on Halloween in 2005, I ran into him at a party. We started talking more frequently and by Christmas of that year, we were seeing each other on a pretty regular basis. One evening, he came over to watch movies with me. We ended up laying in bed, talking, watching tv all night long. We fell asleep just holding each other. When I woke up that next morning, I rolled over, looked at him lying there asleep and that's when I knew that he was the one. |
On our very first date ...a blind date at that!! We have been together 6 1/2 years and married for 4 of them now and together we have 7 kids (3 mine + 4 his = 7 ours)! Combining families can be a real challenge for sure...we got lucky!! I feel very blessed!! |
We both knew the day we met. We started dating in October, got engaged in December and married in March. That was five years ago. Every day until we got engaged he said to me "we should get married and this is why...." I finally gave in and it was the best decision I ever made in my life :) |
The very first time I set eyes on him I had an instant kindergarten crush..... when it never went away...that's when I knew! |
We met in in college when we had a class together and we would talk before class. When the spring semester ended we didn't see eachother until the fall when we had another class together. I was taking 18 credits and was swamped so I would go to the library on my break to read, and he would sit with me. He seriously followed me around the library for 16 weeks. I would find obscure places to sit so I could study and he would find me and sit with me during break, but it took him the entire semester to ask me out! We've been together for 4 years now. My friend (who went to college with us) and I laugh that we will have a cute story for our kids about how daddy took so long to ask mommy out  |
I remember the absolute moment I fell in love. I was studying to take the x-ray boards and whenever I wasn't working I studied. Ken asked my out a couple of times but I just wasn't interested in doing anything except study for my boards. The night before the test he sent me a dozen red roses with a note saying that he knew I'd do great on the boards and wishing me luck. Well, I remember standing there reading the card and saying to myself: oh, I could fall in love with this man, yes I could! We were married 20 years last week. And he still brings me flowers for "no reason". |
