PRAYER requested for Connie's daughter and her Aunt Bev Connie is having one heck of a time and needs your prayers. Her daughter Misssy just had a beautiful baby girl several days ago, but Missy started having horrible pain when she went home and had to go back to the ER. She an infection in her uterus. Her regular doctor didn't deliver the baby, but another did, Connie thinks he was a doofus and left some placenta in her. They did bloodwork and told her it's probably her gall bladder, so did an ultrasound of that. They should have know to check her, since she just had a baby and is having fever, horrific pain and her body was even going into tremors...kinda looked like spasms or convulsions. Instead the doctor gave her a pain shot and oral pain meds and sent her home to suffer for another day. Connie was so scared she was going to die. That is very serious to have an infection like that...they can have toxic shock or go septic. They have to be treated quickly! Thank goodness she is finally getting help and she is already feeling a little better. They are pumping antibiotics into her and she's also getting oral antibiotics. Her fever has gone down and if all goes well, she may get out this evening. You can imagine how Missy feels having a new baby and having to be away from it. On top of that Her Aunt Bev who I think is 86 has been having some troubles and not doing so good. She was in the hospital last week cause her sodium level were extremely low. Well while she was in, she had to potty in the middle of the night and hit the nurses call, but no one came, so she got up and had an accident and slipped and fell. She had to have surgery and is very week and not doing good. Connie and her sister Judy have been running ragged taking her to appointment, ER, Etc. She lives by herself and Connie don't think she'll be able to go back to living alone again. Please pray for Missy, Aunt Bev, Connie and Judy. The good note is Missy had a healthy little beautiful baby girl ...she's sooooooo adorable too!! |

Oh for heavens sake...there is just so much doing on in Connie's family right now and I feel so incredibly bad for them all :( I will be saying many prayers for Missy that she is back to her self again soon and can hold and enjoy her new little bundle of love :) I bet she is an absolute doll! As for Connie's Aunt Bev, that just COMPLETELY TICKS ME OFF that she rang for the nurses and none of them came....OMG!!!!   I cannot even tell you how this kind of crap infuriates me! That is their JOB! They should have gotten their butts in there  She slipped and fell and it wasn't even her fault. I tell you, I am so sick of the way (SOME) nurses, doctors and hospitals treat their patients - especially the elderly ones. It is SICKENING. The nurses that were working that shift ought to be ashamed of themselves!!! Connie....I am praying for her sweetie....and for Missy too :( I am just so sorry that you all are having to deal with this :( |
Oh no. I got a pm from Connie the other day and she mentioned about Aunt Bev and the new baby, I know she was tired then and now to have her poor daughter so sick and away from the new baby! Praying for Her daughter to get well quick and home to her new baby and for Aunt Bev to recover and Connie to stay well and strong. |
prayers and well wishes from me |

2 Attachment(s) Thank you so much everyone, for your prayers and good wishes! Melissa is doing much better and she talked her doctor into discharging her tonight. She had been on the IV antibiotics for 24 hours and her fever had gone down. She shouldn't have come home this soon, but I guess I would have done the same. I had brought the baby up last night and again today so she could nurse her. They say that the meds they gave her were safe for nursing mothers, but that little stinker was up all night and fussy and guess who was watching her...me! I got no sleep...but was glad she was here with me since she couldn't be with her mom! Aunt Bev is supposed to go to a nursing home tomorrow for 3 months of rehab. She cannot put weight on that leg for 3 months so there is no other choice. Judy or I could not handle her at our homes or we would. Seems when it rains, it pours. My MIL's 80th birthday party is Saturday...then my dil's is Sunday which will be here. I have not gotten a thing done all week and tomorrow I have to do everything in one day! Yikes! I can't wait for this weekend to be over. Thanks again...love you all! Here's a picture of my little grandbaby...Alliyah, 7# 7oz, 19 3/4" She has thick, long, dark hair and looks a lot like my daugher when she was newborn. |
Connie -- Glad things are going better. Get some rest, girl. Sounds like you're going to need it. Thoughts and prayers headed your way.:) |
Glad to hear that Melissa is coming home. Alliyah is beautiful, Connie. Looks like her big brother is happy. Hope you can get some rest and the weekend comes and goes quickly. I wlll keep your daughter and Aunt Bev in my prayers and you too. Hugs |
Connie, Im so glad to hear that everything is working out...Enjoy that beautiful little girl...I will keep you and yours in my prayers.. |
Oh, my word!!!! Your granddaughter is beautiful. Love the dark hair. I have blonde hair and have always wanted dark hair. My oldest son acquired almost black hair when he became an adult. Guess my dh had dark hair when we got married but I can barely remember that because I think he was gray be the time he was 30. Booooooo. Love dark hair! Joanne |
I will be praying for them all. |
Wow, that's a lot to be going through!! I'll keep all of them in my thoughts and prayers and hope everything turns out well. |
Connie, I'm praying for your daughter and your Aunt....also, for you - you need some peace in your life! |
oh Connie - I had no idea ! Thank you denise for posting this and Connie - you have my prayers - I'm so glad to read she's being discharged - and I hope your aunt is going to be ok...but I agree with Brooke ! Man - the health care in some places needs to be monitored - that just isn't right what happened ! You're so great to be helping with the baby - she is just beautiful !!! ....HUGS and prayers for your family |
Oh Connie, poor Girl ! Just seeing this, glad your daughter is feeling better, i bet that was pretty scary ! Congrats on your grandaughter, she is very cute :D Sorry about your aunt, hope she recovers soon. Its a shame how old people are treated :( Sending you hugs |
Connie, that is wonderful that Missy is doing better and is being discharged! :) I am still just so angry about your aunt though - that should of NEVER happened....she should of had better care! I tell you what...be glad I'm not there, cause I don't think I would have been able to hold my tongue! I would of given those nurses a piece of my mind  I'm sorry but it just ISN'T right that things like that happen our loved ones...just totally careless and unexcusable :thumbdown Sorry to go off like that...but hearing about these things gets my blood boiling  I hope you are able to get some rest this weekend girl :( It sounds like you are going to be quite the busy little bee! I'll be thinking about you and I am still saying prayers for you aunt...I hope she is better soon :( Big hugs sweetie. |
