Went shopping with my 14 year old.... Ok so yesterday was my daughters 14th birthday, She wanted to spend the day shopping, going to lunch and so on. So naturally we started out at our local mall. We shopped until I dropped...Past up a lot of cute clothes I might add. And ended up out our one of the many pets stores we have in town. Guess what she bought....No No not a dog, we don't support puppymills!!! She bought a dog stroller for her maltese:rolleyes: Out of all of the things a 14 year old might want, a dog stroller would be the last thing on the list I would think. Funny thing is, her maltese Rosie, Loves it. Just wanted to share. |
That's so cute. We need pictures !!! Happy Birthday to your daughter! |
How precious. Would love to see a picture! |
They are both so cute, Ill try to post pictures of them tomorrow.... |
Thanks great!!! Happy 14th! (I have a 14 year old daughter as well)! |
She is my baby, I have 3 older boys and 5 grandchildren! I try not to think about it really...But the fact that she is starting high school this fall makes it hard! |

I hear you! :( My daughter is driving (has learners permit and will get the restricted license in about a month)....where does the time go??!!! |
Ok I'm really not ready for her to drive! I don't think kids here can get a permit until they are older and that is ok by me! |
I have a 14 yr old daughter as well. She is the last one home of our four children. I can't believe my baby will be in high school much less driving!:eek::eek: It sounds like your daughter is a real animal lover. How sweet that she got the stroller for her dog! Would love to see pictures. |
Happy (belated) Birthday to your daughter! That's really neat that she bought the pet stroller. :p I'm glad Rosie likes it! I'd love to see pictures! Jenn - I can't believe Katelyn gets to drive! New Jersey is so dumb with our driving laws. and now they're talking about making us wait until we're 18 to get our cinderella (provisional) licenses...um...WHAT!? |
Yes...here, they can get their learners permit at 14. Then, you have (I think) six months before that expires. In that time, you can take your drivers test and get a "restricted license"...which is pretty much a learners permt, but instead of the paper form, it is a card (like a drivers license). Then, at 16, you can go back and get your actual license. Not everyone gets one so early...but she has been driving for a long time (we live in the country)...so, might as well. I heard that, here, they were thinking about moving the age limits up too. I would be okay w/ that also (sorry Megan), because here, you can apply for a type of hardship one for those who farm, etc and have to drive. We homeschooled from 6-8th grade...and she is going back to HS this Fall! She is super excited....I'm...not so much! I would love to see pictures too! That is GREAT! I love to hear stories of girls like this! |
ohhhhh what a good little mommy she is! hey it goes to show you that she is NOT a selfish BRAT!! :):thumbup: VERY impressed! ;) |
