HS students pact to get pregnant... what pray tell is wrong with these kids. I really think the new generation is way too spoiled and that is why they think something like this will be easy...goodness. I think I need to homeschool my children: Reports: Teen girls made pact to get pregnant - Yahoo! News |
My boyfriend was telling me about this yesterday and I was going to post it then decided not to! Isn't it crazy? I'd say this is just a little insight into what goes on all over the world. |
I hate to be so blunt, but so stupid and downright trashy!! I saw on the news that one of the fathers is a random homeless man. |
How sad for the unborn children! What a life they have to look forward to!! |

The article said one of the dads was a homeless 24 yr. old. It said none of the girls are over 16. That was a heart breaking article. I didn't get from it that these girls are spoiled though. They sound like sad little girls who are desperate for love- and obviously going about it in the wrong way. |
Yes I agree with you all. Can you imagine that...he is 24 and homeless so he must be good father material. I don't know why they think a baby is something to play dress up with. Let's see how many proms and parties they will be going to. My guess is one dumba$$ got pregnant and figured misery likes company so she started it. |
I saw this on Fox news today and was shocked. All of the girls are only 16 and one of the Fathers is a 24 yr. old homeless man. It seems they made a pact to get pregnant so they can all raise their babies together. I wonder if we'll see some of them on Good Morning America or other news programs. My dh thinks we'll hear of copy cats at other schools. |

Ethical thought to ponder..... ok with all these underage girls going to the nurses for pregnancy tests (times sure have changed...I remember the nurse not even being able to give you an asprin) should the school be held liable for not contacting their parents. |
     |
These girls don't have the maturity to be a good dog owner, and now they are making little people.....sad for everyone involved, especially the babies.:( I'm not a prude, but if I were a mother to one of the girls in this school, I would be shopping on ebay for a chastity belt!;) |
WOW! I'm speechless! Those girls do not realize what the consequences are.:( |
There's a new reality show coming out soon, I forget which channel, but its something I'm going to make my 14 year old daughter watch. It's called the baby borrowers, and they take teenage couples who think it would be "cool' or "easy" to have a baby, and they give them one for a period of time. They are supervised, obviously so no harm comes to the borrowed babies, but they are not given any assistance or guidance in how to handle the sleepless nights, crying, tantrums, all that fun stuff that comes with being mommy and daddy. I'm not a big fan of reality shows, but this one might actually serve a purpose!!! They're marketing by saying "its not a reality show, its birth control." |
I was just reading this on perez, This is nut's! |
Oh how very sad for everyone. For the girls, for the babies and for the families of these young girls having babies. |
I think all the highschools should participate in that progam that they give the kids those computeried babies that cry at all hours, get colic and all the good stuff randomly. It has a memory in there that they can't mess with and they get a grade on how they cared for their baby. The mechanical babies can die. |
This is so sad. I remeber in the 9th grade my friend wanted to be pregnant so bad, she lost her first baby than in the 10th grade she had a little girl. I guess when someone makes up their mind nothing can change it. |
It is hard enough when a teenager comes out pregnant and it isnt planned, but to purposely get pregnant is beyond my comprehension. I do not understand why these youg girls would do this to their future. I do not think its necessarily the parents fault or how they raised their children. I just dont get it :( |
I think that they're making a big mistake by making this such a huge story. The girls are getting so much attention, and that's not going to do anything positive for any attention-seeking group of teenage girls that doesn't care about consequences (and there are plenty of those). |

and Where are these girls parents?? |
I think peer pressure means more to teenagers than parents. You want to do what your friends do. You have to have a really strong sense of self to not get caught up in this - this is what comes from the parents. |
This is really sad. :( These girls have plenty of years ahead for making babies and raising them, they should focus on their education and childhood. |

I like the computerized baby idea. I saw it on a reality show once, was it the Hogan show? I think it was and it kept Nick up all the time. I think he ended up with a horrible grade, too. That reality show that shuber mentioned seems interesting. Like she said, actually had a purpose and could reach some teens. I like the slogan, too. lol "its not a reality show, its birth control." |
