Oh my knee!
 
So I got up this morning with my right knee the size of a softball and in a lot of pain. I have no idea what I've done to it. *sigh* It hurts so bad I can't even use that leg to drive. I can put any weight on it at all. It isn't bruised or anything, just swollen and painful.

Called my doctor, he told me to head on over to ER because all he would do is send me over there for x rays anyway. Waiting on DH to get home now then heading over there.

Guess I won't be exercising for a little while. Darn it!

On the plus side, I have an excuse ti lay around and have the unwanted house guest do actual physical labor. Lol

Thanks. I hope its nothing serious too!

Its really weird because I can bend it just fine, but it hurts really really bad when I try to straighten it back out. It also hurts when I put even the tiniest amount of weight on it.

DH is here so we're heading to the ER to have it looked at.

Well, the dr has been in once, I've been down to x ray and back. Now waiting on someone to look at the x rays and decide what's wrong.

Why is it when you tell a dr it hurts when you do something, the first thing they try to get you to do is the thing that hurts?

Hopefully won't be here too much longer.

Oh man that stinks. Wonder if you tore something and it's now acting up for some strange reason.

How are things going with the house guest?

I am so very sorry that your knee is hurting. I hope they find the problem and give you some meds to relieve the pain.

Other than issues regarding food and cigarettes things are going better than they have in the past with DUG (Darn Unwanted Guest). He still seems to think he should be allowed to eat meat in my house - aint gonna happen. Even though he smokes outside I still smell it everywhere and its making me crazy. I HATE that smell.

BUT he has been helping out some - even when DH is at work. He has also been filling out job apps and filled out an app for the income based apartments. All on his own without me saying many words.

I'll be glad when he is gone but so far things aren't as bad as they have been in the past. Hopefully I didn't just jinx it lol!

Well we will say a little prayer for prosperity and speed for DUG to be able to get on his feet.

Ok dr just walked out. I have broken pieces of cartilidge floating around my knee and one possibly two pieces have wedged themselves between my kneecap and the actual joint.

I'm getting two shots and I think he said IN my KNEE. One for pain and one for swelling. I have stay off it for the most part but not stop using it completely and they "should" work their way out. He also recommends I follow up with another dr to discuss other treatment options.

Oh shucks....that sounds rough. I have been having some issues with my right knee since I had my first daughter 11 years ago and it comes and goes...wonder if I have the same problem.

Well good luck with getting it fixed up.

ROFL....when I had a bad case of tendonitis in my elbow, my ortho guy asked me what made it hurt and when I told him playing racquetball and lifting weights (two of my most favorite things to do), he said "well, don't do that anymore":rolleyes:. Gee....THANKS:p

Hope whatever is wrong is something that abates quickly!
