any groomers here??? without going into a lot of detail...I am pursuing my dream of grooming...and am wondering who all here on YT has already accomplished this??? and I would love if you could share some insight..maybe some pointers, some lessons learned...and maybe what, in your opinion, is the one (or a few) tool/supply you can't live without? I will be starting small....concentrating on yorkies and cockers...since that is what I know best. I will be taking some classes very soon...but I really think I want to keep it small and not over-do it. so, what words of wisdom do you have for me??? :) :D |
You need to talk to SueNCricket2. She has those great grooming dvds that she made. I just ordered one. She would be a great resource for you. Maybe you should post your question in the Grooming Section for the groomers to respond? Just a suggestion. Good Luck with your new career!!!:animal36 |
I haven't done it but I'd love to! Anyway, I just wanted to say that my groomer has a little "shop" attached to her garage. Basically it's just a utility room with laundry, a big wash tub, and a big grooming table. I love my groomer and I will never go back to a "salon" again because my dogs are so much calmer being the only dogs there, in and out in an hour or two, and I get to stay with them if I want to. So, if you're thinking about working from home I think it's a wonderful idea and your customers will too! GOOD LUCK!!! |
