trouble sleeping? Does anyone else wake up at 2am and make a cup of coffee to fall back to sleep. Lately this has been working for me. I heard a report on TV today that you should have 7 1/2 to 8 hours of sleep every night and 60min of deep sleep. Does anyone else have trouble "staying" asleep? I happen to like waking up early when I don't have to work the next day...which I don't now...home recouperating from an accident. But now that I know it is not healthy to this I am trying to break the habit.... Any one else doing this and any suggestions on how to fall back to sleep without drinking coffee (don't want to eat). lol. Tina |
I'm a nightowl which is a pain in the butt when I have to get up at 4:30 to get to work at 6. I wake up in a coma and it takes me a long time to shake the cobwebs out of my brain. I have trouble sleeping on those nights. Go to bed at 12 and can't sleep 'cause I'm afraid I'll sleep thru the alarm. If I don't have to get up early, I take Tylenol PM. BUT - I just moved my dtr out on her own and I inherited the incredible bed I bought for her last year. The tag said $900 and I thought that was for the set - WRONG!! That was just the mattress. Anyway, it's a pillow-top and it is incredibly comfortable. I am sleeping much better on it. Doesn't the coffee keep you awake? |
I wake up lots during the night. I attribute it to hormones, but who knows?! When I'm having trouble sleeping, the only thing that makes a difference is to get my pillow and blanket and go on the couch. For some reason (maybe because it is difficult to toss and turn there) I am able to go back to sleep. We have a tri-level home and it is much cooler in the living room as well. |
wrote a long post this morning and my dsl service went down.....:( Woke up this morning at 7:15am....I was up from 2am to 4am but after I made the coffee and was lying in bed drinking I began to feel comfy and relaxed. As soon as I finished the coffee I was too relaxed to get up so I soon feel asleep. And oddly enough the coffee doesn't keep me a wake:eek: If I were you when I had to get up at 4:30 I would go to sleep at 9pm so this way you are not stumbling out the door...you could get hurt. During tax season I eventually get to the condition that you are describing and I did get hurt. I hope of that you do not but as the news report said sleep and enough of it is very important. Lack of enough sleep even contributes to over eating. I guess when I get my house I will be able to sleep on an enclosed porch or something cause I got no where to go 'cept the kitchen...and no one sleeps on my couch, (lol). Coffee to fall asleep....that's a new one even on me. Guess when I get back to work my sleep pattern will straighten out. Happy winks;) Tina |
I had this problem also.. so I bought some Excedrin PM.. and OMG... I slept like a baby.. good luck in finding your thing~ |
