Navy plan crash
 
well friday the 13th brought it's bad luck. If you haven't heard already there was a plane crash on the fallon NV navy base. The pilots belonged to my husbands squadron. In his job he actually is one of the guys who checks the planes, speaks to the pilots, sends them out and brings them back in. One of the pilots died, a friend of all the older ppl in the squadron the wife would bake them cookies and bring them in. What's scarier is my husband was almost given that plane to send out.

The bigger downside is if a plane crashes.. the Pc(plane captain aka my husbands job) and any trainee who worked with that jet has to remember every single thing they did to it and go infront of a board and be reviewed and if they are found to be of fault to the crash they can/will go to military prison. The two people who had that jet are two of the people my husband can actually stand. and then a new friend of his was part of the clean up. It's all just sad.. because we were having a great day until he called me crying about the death.

Oh I am so sorry. I understand because I worked on a navy base for years and witnessed many crashes.. Give your man extra hugs tonight.

oh I am sorry to hear this.. my hubby was in the army for 31 years.. so I too have an understanding to all the politics of what happens.. anne

yeah I only met him once but my husband worked with him for almost 3 years and I guess he had just had a son not too many months ago so I feel bad for them especially when he told me today that they are asking for volunteers to help clean up parts of the plane and that also there was nothing left of them.. so basically his family can take an urn of ashes or an empty casket. Investigations on it is still going. They think something just happened with the two jets and one of them hit each other.. The two guys in the other jets ejected and are perfectly safe. which is good to hear.
