The bar is open. Have any beverage of your choice on me. Pizza and sandwich fixins are over there on the table. However, this is a non-smoking establishment. What are we celebrating? 1000 days ago today I smoked my last cigarette! For anyone who is struggling, succeeding, or wants to give it a go, I am here to support you. Just PM me any old time. A smoke free life is good indeed.:thumbup::cheer:

Today is my first day and I already want to kill something! :D Tell me it gets better. I am afraid to go out of the house because I know where they are!!!! On every corner!!!

Way to go! It does get better, the first 3 days are the worst while your body detoxes from the nicotine. Then the mental part takes over. Think of it like this. Week one is He-- week. Week two is Heck week. Week 3 is just feeling like sh-- week. Then things really start to get better. Hang in there. Each day you don't smoke is one less day you will have to face either going through withdrawal or worse yet being under the control of the nicodemon. Drink lots of ice water, suck in/on cinnamon sticks and take lots of walks. If you are having a really tough time, join an online support group. Good luck!

Congratulations!!! I quit this year also...6+ months ago! And I smoked for over 35 years!!!!!!!!!!! :eek:

I simply got goosebumps reading your "invitation". I am so proud of you as I am all you quitters. Not only are you valuing yourselves, but you are also making a commitment to your family and friends. AND you are giving a big "finger" (and not this one :thumbup:) to the cigarette makers who have been getting filthy rich off of you.

You go girl!!!! That is fantatstic. My DH is a life long smoker and can barely walk due to blicked arteries from smoking but cintinues to smoke! ARGGHH
