How can I make a lot of money fast? I need about $800. Getting a job is not an option so what are some other ways. I am getting a yorkie, but my Dad is going to pay for some of it. I would really appreciate your help with this situation. Please and thank you!! |
Have a yard sale or do odd jobs for neighbors. |

I agree with those suggestions. Great ideas! You may also try selling your unwanted items on ebay or craig's list. |

Because once you get that puppy - you'll need money for the vet - money for food ...and money for any emergency that pops up - and believe me - the way people are breeding these days :( there easily could be an emergency you aren't prepared for... then .....there's always standing on a good street corner with a sign - you know - like the ones that say - "Please Donate - NEED BEER" ! ...oh wait -I think they say - "Help - Homeless - need FOOD". :D:D:D |

when I see the chubby people begging for food ...they don't get any $$ from me - but some really look like they're hurting and I'm a sucker ...I usually empty my change cup even though I KNOW they go straight to the Beer store |
Consider also the vet fees, dog foods, etc. Not just the cost of the yorkie itself. |
I would definitely make sure that I could afford the support of my pet before splurgiing on one. My little guy was a total surprise and thank goodness we are able to take of his needs such as vet, good food, medications and then the fun stuff like clothes and toys. If you are in such a dire strait to raise money for him now, what will happen when he needs his shots? They are cheap! I wish you luck in making your money. |
How about Prostitution...pick a corner...any corner! :sidesplt: Hey! You never said it had to be clean or legal..they make good money..so I hear...:goodluck: |

But I agree~ you can't imagine how awful it is if anything untoward happens to your little one and you don't have the funds available to take care of them. There is no worse feeling in the world and let me tell you~ even taking them to low cost clinics is still costly and it all adds up. It's amazing what crazy things can happen to these little ones, so you really need to take that into consideration. Just read the posts about congenital problems (which are usually VERY expensive to diagnose and then treat) and just accidents that happen. You may think you're diligent in watching them, but it's just amazing the things that just "happen". You don't want to be in the situation where you can't take care of them if "stuff" happens. |
Just read the posts about watery/bloody stools that are cropping up A LOT lately (nevermind possible congenital diseases or an extreme like a dog attack or a broken bone due to jumping off something). One trip to the vet for my guy to find nothing was wrong but an upset stomache was $170. The costs of vet care are ridiculous, but you cannot just leave your pup sick. I often think about trying to rescue a dog from a yorkie rescue, but the thought of the expenses of another dog I think is beyond my means. :( I'll have to wait until I get a gigantic raise or a second income! :) |

If you find a way to make money quick, let me know!:D I agree with what others have already posted. Have a garage sale or post your things for sale online, like ebay, craigs list or facebook. Do odd jobs for people around town; I bet if you look in the newspaper you'll find a few ads for these kind of jobs. Good luck! |

So important to see that vet care is immediately started, shots, etc. Important also to have Nutri-Cal on hand. I can't understand why working isn't an option  It is very important feeding the puppy with high quality foods, getting it's crate and things all ready for it? Being all prepared for your puppy helps it to get off to a happy start in it's new home life with you. You will need pee pads for potty training it and then know where you will be keeping it while it is being potty trained. If you haven't already gotten the puppy please think about all the neccessary needs for it and also the expense's involved. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate, folks here are great. Above the desire to have a yorkie or any dog for a pet please think of the needs of it before getting one. Good luck with your new puppy and by the way what name have you chosen? Patti and Jack |

Hopefully, you will be willing to wait to bring it home till it is at least 12 weeks of age. Most breeders will keep the puppy till it is at least 12 weeks old and have them started on their first shots and dewormed. I read your previous posts and it didn't sound like you had bought a yorkie yet are you still looking for one? The penney saver, in my opinion, is not the best place to buy one from. Have you checked with your vets offices in your area? They generally have the names of reputable breeders. |
If you get a job, work enough hours, and have a good hourly wage you'll make money pretty quickly ;) Like others said, if you find a way to make money without working, let me know... |

I already posted to you earlier - but just to share...I have 2 and it just ran me $380 for their annual & heartworm preventatives. THREE HUNDRED EIGHTY BUCKS and this was a NON emergency visit. Granted I'm not going back to this vet - but with yorkies....take a look at the Sick and Injured section here - Sick & Injured / Emergencies Talk - YorkieTalk.com Forums - Yorkshire Terrier Community ....you'll see why people are asking you to think this thru - |
Congrats on your plan for a puppy. I just wanted to say, yes, yorkies can be expensive, but aren't necessarily. I have Zeus, who has MVD, so his needs are a little different, but even his needs aren't all that expensive post diagnosis. Everyone else is healthy and are reasonable to have. No offense meant, but any dog can be expensive.....I have found crates, leads, beds, heartworm/flea meds, grooming etc. are actually less expensive than the ones for larger dogs. They eat less, so your food goes further, so buying high quality food is more affordable. This is my experience. Have a great day, Juliet |
