Pinched Nerve? I think I may have a pinched nerve in my back. My left thigh is all numb and weird feeling. I also have been having trouble with my left hip. Would a pinched nerve make the top of my thigh feel numb? |
did u consult with a chiropractor? |
When I had sciatica, pinched my sciatic nerve, my lower right back would hurt and I would have shooting pains from my hip all the way down to my leg to my toes. kind of a lightening, electric shock type feeling. VERY painful to say the least. They would come out of nowhare when I was walking or standing and I would lose all control and use of my leg till they stopped. Chiropracters are great ;) Sorry I'm not much help, lol! |
I had a pinched nerve on my L4, L5 & S1 with a herniated disc. I went to a chiropractor and he said I was to far gone and suggested surgery. The pain would start on my hip and work down my leg to my foot. I would get horrible craps on my leg like it was on fire. I couldn't lay flat on my back either because that would aggreviate it. A year of spinal blocks and bottles of vicodin later I had the surgery and I still have nerve damage on my foot but I walk fine. |
I don't have shooting pain, my thigh is just numb and it's been this way for several months. I did go to the chiropractor several times but it did not seem to help. |

I'm not the type to go to the doctor so I have just been dealing with it. Ice and heat. |

I don't want to have surgery if thats what the doc says, I'm not for it. I'm trying to exercise more but even that don't seem to be helping. |
Wonder what info you would come up with if you "googled" it? Sorry your leg is giving you problems. |

Ok ladies.........3 years ago I had my surgery I also had no insurance. I went to the ER I don't know how many times, I did the spinal bock the maximum allowed. My Mom told me oh no you can become crippled wheel chair bound. So the year after she passed I couldn't even stand for more than 10 minutes at a time and I was walking into the ER for the last time with an old persons walker. The best thing I did was have that surgery. I recooped in two weeks and went from taking 8 vicodin a day to none. Sometimes I still get muscle cramps and my little toe is numb but if you are getting worse I highly recommend it. Oh and of course the first thing your Dr. is going to say is to lose weight! Oh and the surgeon said it was the worst strangulation of a nerve that he had ever seen. |
Missy, is because of your work? you said you've had this for about 7 months.. isn't that when you started working with the lady? could it be possible you strained your body too much? |

It all started one evening when I went out dancing, I danced for 3 or more hours and when I got home I could hardly even lay on my side. I have been having hubby massage my lower back and hip and been putting like icy hot on it, but still nothing seems to help it. :( |
