My New Vacuum Cleaner I just received my new vacuum cleaner (how exciting:eek:) I've been meaning to buy a new one for a while, after months of research and some procrastinating, we went to the Miami Beach Home Show and there it was, shiny, quite and very expensive!!! Like everything they sale at those places, they show everything the item does, all its good qualities, after you are head over heals with the product...they give you the price ( which I wont mention, since my husband also logs in to read YT) Well, today I got, my brand new shiny quite , very green, environmental friendly, RAINBOW VACUUM CLEANER , I have three days to returned if I don't like, I was really hoping I wouldn't like so I could get my money back, but I DO LIKE!!!! It works with water, so picks up all the dust, all the hairs, after you are done cleaning you can smell the clean air, no musty odors, no dust on my glass tables, even Max loves it, he did not run once a turned it on.I never thought I would be saying this, but I know what I'll be doing this weekend and I don't mind at all!:) |
sounds fab! I'm looking into getting a new vacuum...hmm..Do you have a direct link for it? I guess I can google it. |
No, but you can Google Rainbow Vacuum Cleaner, you can also find them at Ebay, but just need to check if the seller offers any type of warranty.Let me know what you think about it. Good luck! Mary |
I had a Rainbow a long time ago. Aside from looking like something from outer space and being a pain to empty the water bin, that thing was amazing! The first time I used it, I sucked the curtains right off the rods! And when I check the water resovoire, I thought there was a dead rat in it. That's how much yukky stuff it got out of my carpet. I also used it to unclog a drain that nobody else could get unclogged - and to clean up the inch of water on my floor when my washer overflowed. Congrats! - have fun with it:thumbup:. |
I love my Rainbow too!! I had a salesman over and when he told me how much I laughed!! Then I went on Craigslist and bought one for $450, the same model which was only 6 months old, I was the one laughing all the way to the bank!! |
Those are the BEST money can buy and will last forever! My hubby won't let me get one, wahhh:cry: But my friend has one and it's going on 15 years now and it still looks and works like brand new:D COngrats, you made a great investment:) They really do clean better than anything else:thumbup::thumbup: |
Ooh, I had a Rainbow many, many years ago and absolutely loved the way it cleaned. Thanks for reminding me about them - when my current vacuum dies I'm going to look for another Rainbow:) |
You all made me feel so good now, I was feeling kind of guilty, but it really works, I did not know my house was so dirty:eek: |
My hubby is dying for one but the price is outrageous so maybe I will check Ebay. |

I wish we could get a good vacuum. We go through on average 1 per year. I vacuum at least once a day, and some days 2-3 times a day. My kids and DH are total dirt draggers, lol! Ad we have dark nblue carpet throught out our whole house so every particle of dirt shows up! FYI...do not ever buy dark blue carpet and have kids!!!!:D |
I've also had a rainbow for years. The first time I used it I had to empty it 3 times, didn't know my carpet was that dirty! They are or were very expensive but well worth it. We had a cat who liked to be vacummed with the furniture brush.:cat: |
I too have one and love it!!! I love the fact that I can freshen the air while I vacuum. I use my fragrance oils that I have for making soap and it makes the house smell so nice. No more stale, dirty smelling air when cleaning. I also love the fact that you can leave it on low, to freshen/clean the air. I don't have to spend the extra money to get a air purifier. Yes, the cost is high, but I think you get what you pay for. |
Does anyone have the new steam washers or dryers? Our washer went out and our dryer is about 9 yrs old. We are maybe going to get the new steam washer and dryer. They are supposed to unwrinkle your clothes. If anyone has any experience with these I would love to hear it |
Our washer and dryer are also about to go, so far the ones with better review and "reasonable"price is Whirlpool, my sister in law bought the set about a year ago, they save on water, need a special detergent which is expensive, but you use less than the regular,so it last longer, something that I've noticed on hers is that when she gets the clothes about of the dryer they are not complete dry and she needs to put them back a little bit longer, I do not know if it is the setting she has it on, or it is her dryer that is not working 100%. |
