Home invasion happened way too close to my home. there was a home invasion here in my town. Very close to me also. Here are the links to the articles in the paper. Granted I already have 3 dogs and plan to get another yorkie but I always felt a sense of safety with my rottie. This just really creeps me out since it hit so close to my home. I live alone with my dogs and my kids are here part time. I have really great nieghbors that keep an eye on me and check on me all the time. But still. |
oh wow that must be scary. make sure to keep everything locked at ALL times. rottwilers are cool, at least it gives you an excuse to get another dog... good luck and be careful! |
That is really scary. Another rottie is a great idea. On another topic, did you find out why Recon's face was swollen? I looked in the thread for the answer, but didn't see a recent post. |

I usually do keep my doors locked all the time. I also keep the shades closed most of the time too. I have straight up white trash that lives across the street from me that like to look in my windows when they are open. |
Crime is just increasing everywhere! Have you heard about the missing 24 year old woman who's 5 months pregnant? She went missing right around the area where I go to college, and her body is thought to be in a park that I pass every single day on my way to and from school. As if that's not bad enough, there was also a home invasion very close to my place at school. I don't know what I'm going to do if things keep up this way. |
That's creepy! Another Rottie wouldn't be a bad idea- if nothing else, it will give you some piece of mind. |

oh Wow Kelly - I know exactly how you feel...My neighborhood is now becoming famous for being a part of town to hit - We were on the news weekly for a while - THEN a few months ago - they tried to break in next door to me and TOOK the dudes down right ON my fence !! Chanel REALLY had something to spy on that day - I was right there watching the whole thing go down - STAY SAFE girl and when you drive - ALWAYS be on the watch - I have to cause of all the driveway holdups but the home invasions scare me worse - The gangs in my hood are painting DOTS on the curbs so they know what house to come back and hit later - |
Oh wow. Now that would get to me having something happen next door to me. My gramma is coming to live with me so that she doesn't have to go into a senior community (dont want her to feel old before her time) and things like this worry me alot now. Before it wasn't that big of a deal but if something happened to her I would never forgive myself. My dad always checks in on me so that makes me happy and my neighbors are really good at keeping an eye on things. |
That is SO SWEET having Grandma come live with you ...What a great grand-daughter you are - I was so sad when mine went to Asst. Living...She lived on her own until she witnessed her VERY loved toy poodle get mauled/killed by a Pitt Bull....she was never the same and declined rapidly after that happened... and being in the Senior Home did little to help comfort her. Your Grandma will be so happy with you ! Way to go girl. |
Kelly you are just awesome. It is so sweet that you are taking your Grandma to live with you. You are a great Granddaugther. :) |
