Zeus did wonderful on the bite work and gun shot apprehension so well in fact that Ty and Zeus would have won first place overall (for all events throughout the weekend) BUT....Ty screwed up! :cry: There is a part that is a false start where your dog starts after the "bad" guy and then his handler has to call the bite off. Well, Zeus is super fast and how they normally train is they wait until he hits a certain cone then commands him to come back...today there was an actual person sitting outside of the cones that was signaling to the guys when to call them off..Ty never saw him and ended up calling Zeus off a milisecond too soon...lost 50 points :cry8:and the overall first place to a guy around the phily area I think. So he is drowning his sorrows with a beer.:beermug: and asking me for a sympathy prize:eyebrow2: good thing I don't feel sorry for him :sidesplt: so now I'm sure he is looking for a good job prize...lord, these men! They can always find an occasion can't they!:awink:
The guy that ended up winning first overall came up to him and told him he knew he got it by luck. In the end, they brought home a first place trophy, & two second place trophies and then a few for the Harrisburg PD team. I think they did absolutely wonderful! They all certified..which in the end is what is important.
