Going away with my skin baby Alex and worried!!
 
Hi everyone. Just wanted to ask you something. I am going away with my skin baby Alex and my hubby by plane and I was wondering if I need to ''have'' something with me on the plane just in case Alex is ill or what will I need so his ears don't get too blocked. I am scared that when we take off his ears will get blocked and it will hurt him and he's gonna start crying...Any advice please?
I will go to see my health visitor in about 2 weeks but wondered if you can help as well. Alex is now 4 months old!!!:D

I'm a flight attendant. All he needs is something to suck on. Either his bottle or breast feeding or pacifier. It's worse on the way down than on the way up but it is safer if you just have him feeding on both take-off and landing. If he won't feed, he will start crying but that is the way that babies clear their ears. Have a great trip!!

Thank you, that's a really great advice. I will feed him on both the way up and down just to make sure he'll be ok.

Can you tell me if I can take the stroller in the plane with me or does it depend on the airline, because I forget to ask them. I will give them a call soon as we leave on the 18th june

When I flew with my dtr I took a bottle of milk and a bottle of water and gave her a bottle when we took off and landed and she was fine. Have a great trip

I fly all different airlines and they all allow you to keep your stroller until you are about to step onto the plane. They give you a tag and they check it underneath the plane then when you get to your destination, you get it back right when you step off of the plane. Well you have to wait a few minutes for them to unload it. Hope this helps!

That's right, they will gate check it and bring it up when you land, you just wait in the jetway!! Bon Voyage!

wow, everyone seemed to have the right way to help you. I hope your trip goes well.
Sounds like it will be a piece of cake, with all the great advice you got.

I was going to suggest having the bottle for take off and landing also.
Have a great trip. Where are you going? How long is the flight? Will the doctor give you something to help the baby sleep through it?
Are you excited?

Have a safe trip also.

We are going to Romania for a week to have our baby boy Alex baptised.The flight is about 4 hours so not very long at all. We are very excited about travelling for the first time with baby Alex!!! We hope we do ok!

Hi Girl .... wow you will go to Romania .. make shure you visit the "Graf Dracula Castle" there .... my Hubby was deployed there last summer .... they went on all kinds of trips down there ... he said it was pretty cool .... but I guess some towns are really nasty (dirty) .... hope you have tons of fun on your Trip .... and you will fly over Germany too .... LOL .... :D

Yeah it's the country Romania I am going too. I grew up in Romania:D and I left there when I was 16. My mom, dad and grandma still live there. I have been to Dracula Castle a lot of times...LOL
Glad your husband got to see Romania, there are after all some nice people there too and some beautiful places to visit. Where my mom and dad live is a very beautiful place called Brasov, it's in the mountains and it's a very big tourist place. LOL

Wow it sounds beautiful!! We have a show in the US called Anthony Bourdain, No Reservations and he did one of his shows in Romania. The whole point of the show is to do the things locals do. It looked sooo beautiful!!

I hope you have a great time! :) Whenever you want to take baby Alex to Disney World, I'm so the expert! :p Born and grew up in Orlando...still live in the area too!!
