Someone got a heck of a deal... A neighbor of my daughter's bought a Cain Corso, and I think she is close to a year old now. She decided to sell the dog because she didn't seem to have enough time for her. The dog is beautiful. She is black and tan and just the sweetest dog and very smart and well behaved. She had obedience training which cost a fortune. The lady works as a vet tech, and she advertised the dog for sale there. A couple came in showing interest, so she let them take the dog home for a few days. They came back today with the dog and said they were interested in keeping her. They asked her how much, and she told them she paid $900 for her and told them all the training, etc. she has had. She told them "just write me a check for what you think she is worth". They wrote her a check, and she didn't look at it until after they left the vet's office. (That was really stupid on her part). Awhile after they left, she looked at the check. It was written for $75.00!!!:eek: |
Wow, that was pretty brazen of them. |
Pretty crappy for the people to do, but also I hope she checked them out (References and home visit) to make sure that the dog was in a good home. Elaine |
Awe that is too sad.. :eek::eek:people really can and do take advantage of others and gee I hate to see that...:eek::eek: That is just plain awful....anne |
Oh dear! I can't believe they would do something like that! I feel so sorry for the vet tech ... she was taken advantage of to the fullest :( -Amy |
wow. I can't believe they did that. I hope she checked them out and made sure they were a good home. Cain Corsos are one breed of dog that I would never own, cause I'm scared to death of them. |
OMG wow!!!!:eek::eek::eek: I hope she can either go get the dog back or idk what that is really sad:( |
OMG!! :eek::eek::eek: |
If it is a check, then it should have the buyer's address on there? Maybe the vet tech can go "hunt" them down and I really hope the new owner is a good home for that dog!!! |
Wow:eek: I bet she learned a big lesson from her mistake. I think it is wrong that they did that to her but if she wanted so much for the dog she should of given them a set price, not let them chose the amount:eek: Some people cant see paying $$$ for a dog at all ( my mother in law can't get over how much we paid for Jeter, she said she would never spend more than $100 on a "pet") let alone one that is older no mater if it had great training or not. I really do not see how she could legally go after them, she accepted the check and let them take the dog without looking at the check first. |

I know what you mean about people thinking we pay too much for our dogs. I never bother to tell anyone how much I paid for mine. I just say "they are worth far more to me than money".:) |
:eek: Wow! That's horrible! |
