PLEASE help me find a home I know I haven't been on here in a very long time and I apologize for that. My mom met this woman with a female Shih Tzu under a year old and has papers. She is home all day but never lets this poor girl out of it's tiny crate the few times she has let her it's with a shock collar and the little dog isn't allowed to bark, have an accident, play nothing they shock her. When my mom told me about this I called her and ripped into this woman about how cruel and abusive she is. She got very angry with me and told me she is just taking her to the pound that she doesn't want to deal with her anymore. So my mom is going to get her till I can find her a home. I need to find this girl a home. She is free to a good home so I will need to talk to you on the phone or in person if possiable. I will have pics of her this evening and much more info on her. Thanks for looking. PS does anyone know a good Shih Tzu forum I could post this. |
That is a heartbreaking story. That poor little puppy. I want to smack that woman along side her head for being such a stupid idiot! Shove her in a crate and put a shock collar around her neck and keep her from going into the bathroom. What is wrong with people? Has she no feelings at all? Thank you so much for being there for this little one. I am sure someone will love to give her a home and spoil her forever. She certainly deserves a loving forever home. Good luck to you. That is very sweet of you taking her on. What about turning her in to a rescue. I sure hope she finds a caring and compasionate owner |
I hope you find her a good home where they can make up for the cruelty she had endured. I really hope God in his wisdom at the very least reprimands the dog abusers someday. I personally would like all dog abusers to go to HELL! :mad: |
How old is she? Is she healthy? Would you be willing to ship her? |
Thank you all. I know she is under a yr old but not sure her age till I get her papers tonight. I will not ship her, I'm sure she is really scared as it is. I would be willing to drive a good distance. |
I believe she is up to date on all shots and besides emotion destress my mom said she seems healthy. I will also talk to her vet once she is in my possion. |
What was the point of her even getting a dog? That poor dog... I hope someone can give her a good home |

I believe she has already been spayed. Not sure I want to place her in a shelter. It will depend how scared she is. If she is to timid my mom is going to keep her till I find her a home. My 3 may be to much for her. |

I think her best bet would be thru a reputable rescue. They will take care of any shots, spay and such and screen adopters even having a home check done. Of course if you want to run the YT train up to WA. then that may be workable since there are some YTers in the middle of MO. and WA. ;) |
Bit more info. She IS completely up to date on shots, and she has been spayed. She is 9months old and loves to go outside. She is completely potty trained. |
Also wanted to add that the recues around here say they do home checks but they don't, and many have lots of dogs already. I think what the resscues do is great but as long as I can home her I will. A YT member would be my 1st choice at rehoming. |
Thank you all so much for your kind words. I also want to thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I am going to pick up the puppy in a few minutes and will post pics. I have already found her a new home thanks to the link Tigers mom posted. I spent the last 2 hours talking to a very sweet woman that use to do shih tzu recue, and is a pro groomer. She has many references and is very knowledgiable on the breed. |

I'm too late but so happy you have found the little dear a home. I emailed a friend but she already has a dog so don't worry and maybe she wouldn't even be able to take another on right now. I'm just so HAPPY to hear this. God Bless you and your Mom. |
