Ebay question Someone bid on one of my items on ebay and is the winning bidder . I sent her an email asking her what method of shipment she prefers and when I didnt get any answer at all I sent her an invoice 2 days ago, I didnt receive a payment I sent her another email to remind her and still no answer so today I warned her that if I dont receive my payment I will report her and leave negative feedback ...she wrote back saying that she wanted to buy the item for her mother but her mother doesnt want it anymore and she said she was sorry about that ...not sure what should I do in this case as im nwe to ebay ? Should I report her as a non paying person? Thanks |
yep, report her as a nonpaying bidder. |
I agree with Stormy, you need to report her. |
Hi there you are going to be charged a final value fee, you can get this credit back by going to e-bay home page and click on the site map at the right hand corner of the page. Once there you can scroll down that page to seller account, and click on final value fee credit, and fill out the information on there so you will not get charged for this fee. You can also relist that item at no charge when going thru this process. Hope this helps! Oh and yes I would leave this lady negative feedback because, she could have contacted you or withdrew her bid before the end of the auction! You just can't buy, then change your mind, I don't believe that people realize it cost sellers good money to sell on e-bay! Good Luck! |
I'm sorry this happened to you. I hope you get this worked out and aren't out the expense. Did you have someone else bidding too? You might be able to give another bidder a second-chance to buy without it costing you anything. But expecting immediate payment doesn't always happen. While I realize this isn't your current situation. Most sellers state how soon they expect payment. I usually say within 5 days or within 7 days, as sometimes people are watching more than 1 item you might have listed. Also, sometimes people win and aren't near the computer - I know that has happened to me as a buyer. Matter of fact I won something yesterday and I haven't paid for it yer  If you list something, you need to include how soon you expect payment as one of your conditions. |

I'm all confused, should I report her first, then offer my item the the second highest bidder then leave her negative feedback??? |

She already said she isn't going to pay for the item, I would forward her correspondence on to - especially if it was done thru e-bay communication |

I have had more trouble than it's worth selling on Ebay personally. No matter what you put in your auction as far as payment terms go (3 days, ect), the buyer still has a full 7 days to pay before you can even file a dispute as far as I understand it. Then I believe there's still another 7 days where they can pay if I'm not mistaken. I had to file a non paying bidder report and it took 14 days before I got my listing/final value fee credited back. I'm sorry that happened to you, it's a hard situation. |
