I got my computer within a few days of ordering it! I stressed out about what software I should buy and my brother who is like an Apple guru in Seattle gave me good advice. He told me to buy the computer and use it and see what I need. So far I haven't bought anything additional! Do you have any Apple stores close to you? You can always get everything there too! You will love it! I was the last one to buy Apple in my family! Everyone has one, my parents, brothers, sister-n-laws! |

rotate resize constrain crop enhance red eye retouch effects - e.g., Black and white, antique, edge blur adjust - e.g., bright, contrast, saturation, sharpness I don't think it will do the animated things like in the YT avatars. If I did alot with photos, I think I would get the photo upgrade |
Any last suggestions/help? I don't have a store local but I found one about 45 minutes away so I'm going to go and buy one :) Its my baday this weekend so I don't wanna wait for shipping :D Any last suggestions for me? |
My suggestion is GO FOR IT! :D I think you will love it - remember though, that it will take a bit of time to get used to it. It is WAY easier to use than a PC - and you will try to make it harder than it is - so just read the instructions (although you won't need them - I never do - and I know NOTHING about computers. The Mac is intuitive and tells you everything you need to do - or just does it for you. If you just "let it be" you will be amazed at the ease of use! ENJOY! :D |

They are not cheap, but they are worth every single penny that you pay for them.:) Performance? Great!! no crashes, less possibilities of viruses. |
I got my MacBook in Jan. and they gave me a free printer but we had just purchased one so my daughter has it. If you are not great with computers they also offered one on one classes for a year for 99.00. My husband and I both have laptops and sit in the family room at night and watch tv while on the computers-that is the best part for us. |
Couple questions :) Ok how do you opne more then 1 website at the same time? I'm used to having a few 'tabs" open in windows. How do I do that on a mac? And where the heck do I opne photo booth?? :D |
I have always had PC's, but on 1 of my jobs I use a MAC... When I have tried to send him a word doc his computer could not open it from the usb drive or disk because the disk is saved in a different format... I have to email him the document in order for him to open it and we always have to make some changes for it to look the same... I prefer my PC and laptops as I have 4 of the here... I love to take 1 to the dog show so I can still get to my stuff... Mac's are OK, but I have actually had more issues w/ compatibility w/ it than w/ the PC's... |
Oh and I just tried to work on my website (free webs) and it says now free webs isn't compatible with my browser and I need to download fire fox or something like that?????? help? |

Do you see icons at the bottom of the screen? If so, drag your mouse over them and you will see the words Photo Booth when you drag the mouse over it. The icon is red curtains with 3 photos beside it. Click on the icon and photo booth will open. Do you see the black square at the top of the monitor? That's where you look, and where the pic originates. Here's a couple of pix I took with my photo booth. |

Oh, sorry about that - it was loaded on my dock when I got my computer. Go to the Macintosh HD (hard drive) icon and click on it. Then look for Applications on the left hand side. Click on it. Then scroll down to Photo Booth and take your mouse click and drag the Photo Booth icon down to the dock. Let off the Photo Booth icon when you get it to the dock and then it will stay there. Now, just click Photo Booth and get to work! You can always go to applications to open it - but it's much more convenient to have it in the dock. You can do that with anything that you use frequently, e.g., calculator, itunes, or whatever application you open everyday, just drag it out of the application folder to the dock and it will be right there anytime you want it. |

Right now I have a MacBook that's hooked up to a Mac monitor (my monitor is, I believe, thirty-two inches). I absolutely LOVE having a Mac. Best computers EVER&I would never go back to using a PC! They are really easy to use too. If you really like using a desktop, go for the iMac. If not, get the MacBook. I personally don't see the need to have a MacBook Pro ... it has a lot of extra stuff that I never would use, so why spend more money on something you'll never use? Either way, Mac is definitely the way to go :D Guess I'm a little bias since I have one, lol ;) -Amy |
