I need help with a children's poem. My cousins little girl gets to do a page for a yearbook. She is only SEVEN so we are looking for a poem about a princess or maybe something about school. I would appreciate some help from all my creative YT friends. I have been looking online but so far I haven't found anything appropriate yet. Thanks for any help you can give me. |
princess poem Quote:
Dancing with butterflies Making flowers grow Light fills your mind and everything you know Princess of Joy, Peace and Hope Wish on a falling star God shines on and through everything you are Bright and shining smile touches all who see Mixing dreams and hopes Flooding the world with glee Watched by scores of angels May love always be your guide Precious and innocent miracle Releasing the magic from inside |
I'll go check in my childcraft poem book. i know there is some cute stuff in it. |

That's beautiful~ I love it! Where is it from? |
I found this poem: Summer’s Here Summer’s here! Another year Of school is at an end. We’ve learned a lot And grown a lot And made a lot Of friends. We’ll say goodbye, Now summer’s here, It’s time for us to part. But we’ll remember all our friends And keep them in our hearts. ~Helen H. Moore |
I would suggest you try something written by Shel Silverstein. He is a GREAT children's author. He has several books full of children's poetry. (A Light in the Attic, Where the Sidewalk Ends) I'm Sick And I Cannot Go To School Today by Shel Silverstein "I have the measles and the mumps, A gash, a rash, and purple bumps. My mouth is wet, my throat is dry, I'm going blind in my right eye. My tonsils are as big as rocks, I've counted sixteen chicken pox. And there's one more ... that's seventeen! And don't you think ... my face looks green? My leg is cut, my eyes are blue, It might be instamatic flu. I cough and sneeze and gasp and choke, I'm sure that my left leg is broke. My hip hurts when I move my chin, My belly button's caving in, My back is wrenched, my ankle's sprained, My 'pendix pains each time it rains. My nose is cold, my toes are numb, I have a sliver in my thumb. My neck is stiff, my spine is weak. I hardly whisper when I speak. My tongue is filling up my mouth, I think my hair is falling out. My elbow's bent - my spine ain't straight. My temperature is one-o-eight. My brain is shrunk, I cannot hear, There is a hole inside my ear. I have a hangnail, and my heart is ... ... WHAT? What's that? What's that you say? You say today is ... Saturday? G'bye, I'm going out to play!" |

I don't mean to burst your bubble, but will the school let you put a poem in that she didn't write because of copyright laws and such. Some schools won't let you break copyright laws at all. |

Boa Constrictor Oh, I'm being eaten By a boa constrictor, A boa constrictor, A boa constrictor, I'm being eaten by a boa constrictor, And I don't like it--one bit. Well, what do you know? It's nibblin' my toe. Oh, gee, It's up to my knee. Oh my, It's up to my thigh. Oh, fiddle, It's up to my middle. Oh, heck, It's up to my neck. Oh, dread, It's upmmmmmmmmmmffffffffff . . . I think my favorite would have to be either "Clarence" (who bought a brand new maw and a better paw) or... Stung by a Bee by Shel Silverstein I got stung by a bee I can't tell you where I got stung by a bee It was just lying there And it tatooed a message That I can't let you see But it spells out.... 'Hello, you've been stung by a bee.' I love that it was 'spelled out' in the pic on somone's cartoon bottom!:p |
Patti (Baby Blessing) wrote a poem for you. She sent it to my email and asked me to post it in your thread. Here you be! Teachings from Special People Now I learned my A B C's, Counting my Numbers 1 2 3's. I have lots of friends and fun each day, I ask God to guide me through my studies I pray. My hope for the future is one day to be, What ever my heart desires, God holds the key. He will direct my path in whatever I am to do, With Him by my side he will see me through. Lessons I've learned, so many its true, Never forgetting my teachers whatever I do. Their guidance and teachings will go with me forever, My memories of her/him I forever will treasure. Thanks to my parents for giving me a good start, Forever to hold on to their teachings, from me they will never part. Written by Me Patti From Yorkie Talk 5-14-08 |
