Its a new morning and I'd love to know how Mason is doing today. I pray he is much better than yesterday.

hope he continues to improve until he's well again.

I haven't seen Mason yet today but my daughter, Barbi, is keeping him this week. I haven't talked to anyone yet today. Parents are exhausted so I'm spending the nights with them for a few days. Barbi will be watching him during the day and I will be staying with him at night. Laura still hasn't recovered from her conference all week last week and then coming home and staying in the hospital all weekend. Brian's hours are always long and he is tired from starting his chemo treatments. Momma to the rescue!!!!!

PATTY! WHAT chemo treatments???????????????????????????? I didn't know Brian was needing them!

Oh my goodness. Was it pneumonia? My son just spent time in the children's hospital a few weeks ago for this very thing. It's going around up here. It's so scary to see the little ones hooked up to IVs & oxygen. It always seems to hit the little ones the hardest. I'll be praying for your grandson.

Did they put him on a nebulizer at home?

Well I am finally home! I have been computerless for days. Basically since last Friday I have been helping with Mason. He was in the hospital for 24 hours and then went home. He is still on breathing treatments but is doing much better so went back to the babysitter yesterday. I have been staying day and night with them to try to help with him (and Mimi couldn't stand the thought of him going back to the babysitter yet). They have sorta/kinda diagnosed it as bronchial asthma. He is now on allergy/asthma medication along with the xopenex in his breathing treatments. We finally talked Brian, my son, into taking a few days off and going fishing. He is on oral chemo for psoratic arthritis that was diagnosed on the same day Mason was admitted to the hospital. For awhile he is also on prednisone. He has to take the chemo every week for the rest of his life to try to control the spread of his arthritis. Apparently this condition makes his joints and bones "squishy" and extremely painful. He has it in his shoulders, elbows, back, hips, ankles, and heels. I so appreciate all of the thoughts and prayers that have been coming for my family. I KNOW for a fact that YT prayers work.

Phew, I am much relieved for Mason and very concerned for Brian. I'm glad he got out to go fishing and hope he catches a HUGE one! Something to help get his mind off of the constant pain for a while.
