WITHOUT MY GLASSES!!! I've had my laser eye surgery on monday and yesterday I went for a check up and I can actually see the smallest writing without my glasses.:D:D:D
Just wanted to thank you guys for all the encouregment and prayers you have sent my way. :love::love::love:I LOVE YOU ALL!!!:love::love::love:

Congratulations Maria that is fantastic!
I can only imagine what it would be like to wake up and not have to reach for my glasses or pop in the contacts.

Thank you, I am almost 27 now and I have worn glasses from the age of 6 yo

Congrats.....and I am soooo jealous...i've been wanting the surgery for such a long time now....but can't afford it. I thought I was going to get it this last winter but then the daughter needed braces...darn kids!!!! So glad everything turned out great.

That is AWESOME!! You will love being able to buy sunglasses in a regular store!!:cool:
My DH, my 18 year old son and i all had it done about 5 years ago!! It was the best investment!!! Not having to wear glasses is sooooooooo liberating!!
My son is now a US Marine and just qualified for master sharpshooter!! WOO HOO!!! He couldn't have done that with glasses. We all dive and snorkel too and that really opened up a whole new world for us!!
Congratulations!!! Don't you just love new technologies!! :D

Yeah I will as soon as my eyes look better as now they still have blood shots in them and I have heard that they might last for another 2 weeks.

It does but I have to wear my sunglasses for a whole week which really bugs me. But knowing that I am free to start doing everything I wanted it's just a great feeling.

Thanks Linda. Congrats to your son. You must be a really proud mom. I love the things that can be done today! I use to dive and snorkel in Cayman Islands before but as you know my sight was not very good to be able to see the sea life clearly enaugh to enjoy it. But now all I want is to go on and do all the things I have wanted to do but never could.

Congratulations! I am so jealous, I can't have the surgery because my corneas (?) are too large. I would have that halo effect on my night vision. Darn!

Congrats! They turned me down for the surgery(to blind to quailfy). I hope your eyes never hold you back agian.

But...Yay! Good for you! I can only imagine how liberating it must be to not have to wear glasses. I hope to have it done someday when I have the money.

Didn't hurt and you can usually see clear the next day.
