Hoarding stuff on DR. Phil Did any one see the Dr. Phil where the lady was just hoarding all kinds of crap? THey had 7 refrig, freezers, full of rotting food and she wouldn't throw it away!!! I was shocked and wondered if any one saw it. The poor woman had alot of problems.... :( |

I have a friend like her. Matter of fact I called my neighbors in to show the Phil show so they could understand Margi better. Its a sickness and its VERY sad. |
I didn't see the show, but I have seen programs about it. Apparently, it's like an obsession to hoarde things. I saw the actress, Delta Burke, in an interview a few months ago, and she said she had a horrible hoarding problem. She checked herself into a hospital to get some help for it because she said she hates it. She also has ongoing depression issues, and she has an obsessive/compulsive disorder which has gotten worse...hence, the hoarding. It sounded like she was on alot of meds, and she needed to be re-evaluated to see if she needed a med change or adjustment. I would imagine it's very hard to live with a hoarder. I can't stand clutter, so that would make me crazy! |
maybe it was my dads stupid wife! HAHA she goes to stores and if something is on sale for SUPER cheap, she'll buy it all... like 10,000 of those plastic bows you put on xmas presents... shes a whack job too! HAHA Sorry I did not mean to make light of the issues... it is sad! My dads wife is not a hoarder, shes just ODD. |
My sister in law has OCD and she hoards things. For example, if boxed mac and cheese is on sale she'll buy cases of it and store it in the basement until the mice eat it all and it has to be thrown away. She buys bedding on sale and puts it in the attic until it is dry rotted. I think of all the people who could have benefited from that stuff when it was fresh and new and it just makes me sick - but there is no talking to her. She's very, very strange in other ways too, though she is a sweet woman. Still! :( |
sick That was one sick woman...I would be surprised of Child services did not intervene, I know animal control is quick to step in...I missed the end..did she agree to treatment? |
