yorkiesmiles | 04-30-2008 05:30 AM | 5,000 Reflections With hitting the 5,000 mark with this post, I could definitely come up with 5,000 reasons that I love YorkieTalk.com - but most importantly it is the people here - each and everyone of you. Your love for yorkies, your desire to see the breed bettered, loved, cared for and rescued. Looking at the beautiful yorkies and the variances within the breed is a highlight. I have never seen so many beautiful dogs.
Keep the fun pictures and videos coming. I love reading all the fun stories about your yorkies' antics!
The compassion I have found amongst complete strangers in a physical sense is amazing. The care and concern, the willingness to pray for one another and take each other into confidence with important life matters, continues to amaze me. I never thought I would come online and meet so many wonderful caring friends and my prayer list is filled with the names of my YT friends and their sweet furbabies and their family members. Thank you for letting me into your world.
The compassion here is only equaled by the generosity I have found among the members. You are all so generous in sharing your wisdom - I have learned so much here on YT. I have witnessed how you share with one another in words, deeds and physical items. I have been the recipient of so much - knowledge, love, time and gifts I would have never dreamed of. This fall, I posted about my TV remote breaking and one member PMed and said she and her husband had a remote that they weren't using and wanted to send to me. Another member had a duplicate purse carrier that she gave to me. The generous, huge basket of goodies we received during our first GE still amazes me. My special angel is the member who donated in my name so I could be a Donating Member. Those members who have watched Bubba & Roxy for me so I could travel. I could just go on & on about the generous spirit that I believe permeates YT.
I have also found wonderful friends here - some that live around the world or thousands of miles away from me, but I also have found one very, very special friend who only lives across town - a friend who will always have a special place in my heart, that I love to talk with for hours. I can't wait for the big International YorkieTalk Meetup in Kansas City in June!! I am so anxious to meet more of you in person and your yorkies!! I look forward to coming away with some even deeper friendships.
The downside of 5,000 posts?? So much undone in my house - hours spent here, have kept me from dusting as often as some might think I should
Thank you for welcoming me into your world, being there for me when Bubba was sick last month and when he escaped last week. For telling me how beautiful my furbabies are ;) and for sharing your prayers, kind words and virtual hugs with me. I'm looking forward to the next 5,000 posts :aimeeyork |
