For my friends.. People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know whi ch one it is, you will know what to do for that person.. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on. Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season. LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant. Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime. :) |
that brought tears to my eyes.....my (late) husband was that person... I know he came into my life for a reason.... and it was only for a season :(:( |

I'm still sitting here crying....I've read what you posted 3 times now.....:( Not the best way to start my work day but that was really touching - thank you. |
Lord...this really got to me. :( I printed it and am going to put it on my fridge..... Thank you again. |
So true. Great spin on friendships. Thanks. |
I agree...aside from the fact that this really grabbed my heart & I can't seem to stop crying today - I know quite a few people that this applies too right here on these forums & feel very lucky to have them in my life....even if it IS only for a 'season' |
This is such a true post and a very hard hard lesson to learn But it is so true, V, I lost my husband a few years ago, so I know what you are feeling. It took me a few years to understand all that I had learned from him and to this day it is the greatest lesson of all for me. ((( hugs to you V ))) |

Dear Sweet Villette~ I did not mean to make you cry. I pray myself to sleep at night, it's the way I handle my life in the daytime. I prayed last night to please be given the opportunity to be a blessing to someone. I woke up this morning to this in my email. I got to thinking about all the heartache among us here lately, and how much of my life these passages put into perspective. I was hoping someone else would walk away with that feeling too. Go ahead and cry if you need to, it's the cycle of things. It purges the soul I once heard...but remember "Joy comes in the morning". :) |
This is probably the best post I've ever read on this forum. It makes you think and it makes you feel. It made me cry. Thank you so much. V, I love you. (((hugs to you))) |
