well that is something no one yet or has even question...i mean his oldest daughter/granddaughter is 19 and is not in the hospital...maybe something happen...

This is only my opinion.....

The years were too many for her to have had no idea. Especially considering the fact that they adopted the three youngest children:

Three other children were adopted and brought up by Mr Fritzl and his wife Rosemarie, who police believe did not know what happened to Elisabeth when she disappeared in 1984.

Some women choose their men over their children. I have known a woman who did just that. She was my mother. As sad and baffling and disturbing as it is, it does happen.

I also believe that it is entirely possible that the 18 year old granddaughter may have been compromised as well. I am waiting for further reports. I don't know the man but I hate him. My heart aches for the daughter and the children.

yes imo it is hard for the mother not to know anything...i mean for goodness sake...that was your daughter...if she went missing in 84 then when and why would she emerge to drop off her kids for you to adopt...something is fishy here...and i don't want to know that bastard there is nothing they can do to him to make up for what he did...i hope karma comes and bite him in the behind

What a MONSTER!! I think they should put him in a box and close it up with just enough air holes to breathe. They should open it once a day to throw in a jug of water and a stale cheese sandwich.

I wonder why he thought that three of them were worthy of living a normal existence with he and his wife upstairs and the other three and his daughter were not. The whole thing is too bizarre for me to wrap my mind around. :(

There's a new story on cnn now saying that he vacationed in Thailand twice during the time that his daughter was held captive.... I wonder who was giving them food during that time?

This story is being broadcast all over the world and I imagine everybody is wondering about the same things, what's even more amazing is that none of the neighbors were aware of anything either, the also say that the social workers (because of the adopted three children) went and visited them at least 21 times to make sure the kiddies were OK. This is one SICK story.. I don't think the children will be able to get over this for a very long time. Can you image the children have never been in contact with anyone else but their mother and their sob of father...

whom that thought was just their grandfather? i just hope the kids don't commit suicide from this tragic disgusting event that i may not be able to survive yet a lone the kids...

AND never seeing sunlight or anything! Can you imagine what a shock they must be going through right now? That was all they ever knew, and they've all of a sudden been pulled out right into the real world. Poor poor family :(
