What amazes me, is that, as it said in the paper the wife did not know that all this was going on. How could she not know? He must have taken food or some sort or supplies to them at some point. How would he get away with that? This just blows my mind. |
How was he caught? I mean, what events happened that this was finally discovered? |

That turned my stomach when the story first broke. I want to know how no one especially her father's wife never suspected something was wrong. |

Apparently the man was very "in control" in his family, and he made it clear to his wife and the other children that the basement was completely off limits to them. I guess they didn't ask questions. And now they're saying that the large electronic security door couldn't have been installed by just him, so they're looking for someone who helped him. |

Yeah, a retired electrical engineer. From CNN: "Thomas Birgfellner, a reporter with Austrian broadcaster ORF, said there was a strong belief that Fritzl -- who installed an electronic security door in the cellar -- must have had help from other people. "Everyone has said he could not do it alone. He could not install it alone, and now they have to investigate if there were some other people who assisted him," Birgfellner told CNN. " |
