campers How many of you are campers? Do you travel with your yorkies? |
we go camping a lot, but we usually leave mika behind. i wouldn't bring them along if i were you, unless you kept an eye on them alllll the time. theres so much that could happen to them out there, with bears, snakes, and coyotes and other wild animals, that it's probably not the safest thing to do with them. you also have to watch out for ticks |
I think it depends on where you are going. You'll probably get many responses from people who camp with their yorkies. We go camping a lot, but in our travel trailer. Our boys always go with us and yes, even in RV parks there are things to watch out for. But they love it and we'd never leave them home. Really they are the reason we have a travel trailer now - we had a big 5th wheel - too big for us now - and we sold it a few months ago and bought a little 18 foot tt. The main reason we bought the smaller one is so they could travel with us. It's just too hard to stay in hotels with them and we won't leave them at home, if we can help it. |
Like Gayle, we camp a lot. Murfee has gone with us every time. He has over 27,000 miles on him....my husband is anal about keeping track of everything. Murfee loves it and we love having him with us. We really have been very few places where dogs are not welcome. Good luck. |
yep all of em. Suki the first even went to Sturgis with us, with her leather jacket, goggles and custom hat. Now we have a 5th wheel, and lots of ex pens to make a yard outside the door. They love it. |
Yes, we also take our 7 yorkies with us when we travel in our RV. We have a special area made for their stacking crates and they stay in it when we are moving. They have their puppy pads in the shower. Everyone is happy that we are all together. We are going to be venders at a craft show at the end of May for 4 day and this time we will have our 3 new baby boys with us. Now, that will be a challenge. Kathy |
