I hope that the person that did this sends the money.. and Truly I think that posting the name so others do not get scammed would be wise. I know that others have been exposed and it is in the rules that members who do this will be banned. |
It stinks this happened to you.....After being on here for a few years I can say I'm not surprised.....This must have put you in an awkward position.... It sure is disappointing when a member does this sort of thing to another member.... |
Hopefully they will see this & feel very ashamed of theirselves & not only pay you but also apologize. I deal with this in my business, (hair stylist) it is very irritating.. I've had them come in & say oh I forgot my billfold/wallet AFTER I'm done (one lady did this to me 4 times in a row) it's took me a month & LONGER b/f to get my money & there are some that never came back to pay (mostly college students) & what's bad is when you see them they know they're guilty & won't even look you in the eye. guess I needed to vent! :) Take a deep breath & say GOOD RIDDANCE!! |
I swear the audasity of some people is just truly UNBELIEVABLE:mad: I would like to know who it was.. Im sorry you were scammed |

Years ago I was on a designer purse board where this was a problem. We were in Europe, the Euro was weak & so the fashion houses were considerably cheaper for us. People would ask for favors in picking stuff up from Hermes or LV.... What I've always done is have payment in CLEARED in my bank account before I purchase anything. People would always ask, but I would never do any favors for anyone unless they payed first & it CLEARED my account. If that's too harsh, another thing you could do is if it's something small, or something that's going fast, get it - but don't ship out until you have payment in hand. You can always return it later if you don't get your money back, or offer to someone else. But never, never ship anything out without first getting your money first. I don't care who it is. Money makes people do stupid things. OP, I'm really sorry that this happened to you. It's so sad when a truly kind & giving soul is taken advantage of, particularly when it's someone they consider a friend. Don't let it jade you, just safeguard yourself better next time. ((hugs)) |

I'm so sorry this happened to you. This person should be ashamed of themselves :thumbdown |
I am hoping that maybe the person just forgot? And maybe they aren't good at checking their pms? Just trying to be optimistic here. I hope that that was the case. If its not it is a shame that being a good, friendly and trusting person just doesn't pay off anymore. |

AMEN! And Connie is one of the nicest people on here. This happened to me a few times I made donations to help people, and I really felt hurt. However, I would not let them stop me from doing the right thing. |
:thumbdownI understand you... been there, done that... When I started selling my bows, I used to jjust make them, and ship... then, people would send a check because I hated them to pay for those fees... got screwed a couple times... so upsetting... you do something to help, please or share with others, give your time, effort and money, and they, somehow think they deserve it for free... I am sorry you are in this situation... Shame on some people... Oh, and as you say, is not the money... |
Sorry you were put in this postion.....I always enjoy helping when I can and there are good people on here who can't find something in their area....It makes it hard for those people to ask for help and hard for the trusting person to help. I hope somehow it was a big misunderstanding. Angie |
this is awful. i had someone on YT sell me something that was clearly damaged when they sent it to me. that made me really angry. |
