Is Ft. Hood an Army base or an Air Force base? Anyway, our Grandson that lived with us, is in Iraq for the second tour of duty. I was so scared the first time he went there that I could hardly think straight. We made it through and although we are still somewhat on edge this time it's still not as intense as the first time was. He's due to come home in a few months now and we pray for him EVERY day. Now we'll add your husband to our prayers. Stay strong and lean on others in the same situation. There's strength in numbers and the prayers seem to reach higher! |

Thank You again, for all those wonderful prayers for My husband and our family, for other families who are going thru this or have already gone thru the journey. It is very difficult to see your loved one depart away from you but to depart to Iraq is even harder, like I said before I will make it thru with my kids love and everyone's support and prayer including YT's. I have to be strong for them, my husband and for myself. I thank my Lord, I have my furbabies too, Chiquito and Tinkerbell. Tinkerbell is my friend when I am alone at night and just need company, she does that very well, when she looks into my eyes she tells me she understands my pain. I know she will help me in my moments of lonelyness, whoever doesn't own a furbaby doesn't understand the communication that we havewith them, but to everyone here on YT you all know what I am talking about;). Someone asked if Ft. Hood is an Army base or Airforce, it is Army. |
I'm sure that would be a sad day for anyone in that position and my heart breaks for all the families that have been left alone with their loved one so far away. All I can say is we owe your husband and all the other men and boys fighting for us so very much. To go to war is the most unselfish act I can imagine but I want them all home as soon as possible. I hope tonite goes well for you, nights are the worst. Can you imagine we will do this for 455 days? Today is day 40 for me and its really dragging me down, but whenever you need a pick-me-up you can come here. It really does work! |
I will keep you and your family in my prayers! Thank you for all that you and your husband do to keep our Country safe. My Dad was in the Navy for 29 years and I lived my childhood on Military bases around the world. I guess I took so much for granted....now that I am a Mom and wife I realize how much my Dad and others gave for this great Nation. I and my babies will sleep soundly tonight because of people like your husband and my Dad. God bless you! |
