China Killing Cats For The Olympic Games "I’m serious. The Chinese government (I use that term loosely, as it implies civilized people) are capturing and killing all cats found. But, no, not just killing them, but putting them into Death Camps where the cats receive no food, no water, no nothing — they are simply left to die. Why are they doing that you might ask. Because they want to clean up the Capital before the Olympic Games! To that end — to kill the most cats — the government has issued warning that cats carry terrible diseases and may have contributed to the SARS outbreak in 2003! They have people so paranoid that owners are turning their cats lose to be captured by special collection teams. Below is a picture of one of the collection teams working. Be warned, it is appalling. I normally would not show any type of picture like this. But, it shows the way the Chinese are doing their so called clean-up or what I’d call a cleansing. How on earth did China ever get selected to host the Olympics?? This is in itself is a crime. This so called government is despicable. I will watch the Olympics - because the games themselves are about the athletes and the passion they have for their sport and for excellence. Most Olympians could teach the Chinese government a lot about leadership |
I really don't understand how they could host the olympics either??? that picture makes me just as sick as it does knowing that almost every d*mn thing you buy in this AMERICAN country is made in china. |
how did they get the olympics? what is going on in this world? only a respectable country should be given the opportunity to host. their government does some very inhumane things to people and animals. |
If this wasn't bad enough they have also been kicking residents out of housing, particularly low income housing, for the Olympics. The whole thing is just sad. |

I hate to down a whole counrty but I disagree with MANY MANY things China does - the way they treat dogs and cats - the fur trade..... they torture animals for many reasons. I totally agree with MyFairLacy - they really need spay neuter laws and they need to STOP killing cats dogs and other animals .... it's inhumane Some of their 'practices' are outright cruel and totally sickening :( |

Makes me sick!!! I will watch the games, ... but I do hope that many participating countries boycott the opening ceremony. It needs to be a total let down, maybe they will think twice on their animal/people rights. Sheilagh |

I have read that they think if they die slowly, they let off some kind off hormones that makes the meat taste better. And they say it makes men more virile. That is the most stupid thing I have ever heard. They should not be having the Olympics there. You can look up dog meat and I think the stories come up but with pictures. So I do not recommend it! |
