UGH Moving! *VENTING* well we got orders that we are moving back to Texas around july sometimes... for the LAST 2 months I have been looking online for a home to buy (Hubby is gettin out of the Army in about little over a year and I'm from Tx..so we plan on staying there... his family is in La and Ar) and OMG I didnt think it would be THIS freaken hard! Well I guess it dose not help that I am picky... well thats what my hubby calls it lol I told him NO I'm not PICKY, I just know what I want :p.. Now if I can ONLY find it ALL in ONE HOUSE!! UGH I will be gald when I find the house and MOVE in lol. And my mom is not helping any. She wants me to move in a house in the same block as her... every home I have sent her a pic of, that is NOT in 25 block of her.. she eithers tells me there is SOMETHING wrong with it or the area is bad (yeah all this from a pic and the house is like 35 min from her and I dont even send her the address... UGH MOMS!!)... and then goes on saying "oh there is a house 5 blocks over" UGH, dont get me wrong I love my mom but OMGOSH I would end up going crazy if I lived with in 30 min from her. She would drive me NUTS with every family thing and trying to take over my house over. Heck I am on the OTHER side of the world and she still drives me nuts and trys to run my house hold from there. So this is going to be oh so fun to try to tell my mom to call before coming over and what I say goes in my home. She already makes me mad when she hears my son over the phone fussing bc he is playing the I am not sleepy game and fights his sleep. Tell me I am being mean to him and just bring him there. I cant wait to move back but at the same time I SOO can UGH sorry just needed to vent for a sec... Okay Im done..for now lol |
Good luck on your move! I have moved quite a few time, over the past 15 years. I am always very picky too! I always want the perfect home, a good neighborhood and great schools. It is so much easier to move now with the internet, then it was 10 years ago. On our last couple of move my DH and I spend hours online looking at everything: city population, average income, average house price, crime rate,& school ratings. We then told the realtor where we wanted to start looking. We probably drive the realtors crazy...we are that picky. I have one drop dead thing that I will not live without an 'upstairs laundry room'. I won't even look at anything without it. I have a MIL like your mom. When we had to move near them; we tried to make it close enough for them to visit, but far enough away that they could not drop by. |
Congratulations! I know you are excited about coming home. Hope you find the house of your dreams before you get too terribly frustrated. |
:)Hope you find the house of your dreams very soon! Good luck in your search.:) |
Also hoping you find the house of your dreams!! And hoping it's NOT next door to your mom and at least 31 minutes from her house! :) |
good luck finding your perfect house and moving! |
What part of Texas are you looking at? Im currently here and I have a good freind in realestate maybe I can help. I wish the army would quit moving us around so I could buy a house. If your military career has been anything like ours you know EXACTLY what you Dont want. |

But we are heading to Ft. Hood (My family is from Temple). Hopefully if all goes RIGHT and my hubby dose not have to go back to iraq before he gets out...then ft hood should be are LAST stop. |
Good luck ,hoping you find the house of your Dreams. |
Im in Hood too. Its ok here but its still a Army town. You should be able to find a decent place here for a pretty good price. Personally Id move to temple and NOT killeen. Let us know how the moves going. |
