Spring is here!!! Yardwork questions! :( Okay so everythings budding and blooming and hatching! So I look in my front flower bed today to assess how much work needs to be done.......I cannot explain to you the amount of cat poop in my front flower bed right up by my house. Anyone know how to keep cats from pooping all in you flower beds? I love kitties but I wish there weren't so many strays in my hood. I NEED HELP!! The worst part is, I have to get it out of my flower beds and it makes me gag, really bad!! This should be fun!! |
Could you borrow a critter cage from animal control and start gathering up the cats and turning them in to the animal shelter? I don't have a clue how to keep a cat out of the flower garden. I've seen things sold that's supposed to do the trick. |
Don't shoot them..sorry...hubby just said what our neighbor would do! Nothing is worse than the smell of cat pee...and poo. |
Get a big gigantic container of ground red pepper. Sprinkle it where they are pooping. When they sniff the ground to poop or cover it up, it will get up their nose and they will move on. Also, it may get on their paws and make them sneeze if they sniff their paws and they will move on. It won't hurt them at all, but it will make it unpleasant to use your flower beds. You may have to sprinkle it down every day for a few days, but they will eventually move on. |

Wow! I really have to try that. Last week, I was planting some new flowers in the flower bed in front of my house. A cat came by, meowed and played with my flowers while I was still working on them. Then she/he pooped right in front of me, and then 'bury' the poop. I am not sure how many times he/she had pooped on my flower bed, but I really don't want poop in my flower bed. |
