Ever feel... rejected by someone you care about deeply, and in response maybe you want to reject them too? If that makes any sense. For instance (totally hypothetical ;) ) if you felt your bf wasn't spending enough time with you, then you might make yourself sparse so he can see what it's like. OMG I'm so immature. But seriously. |

I hope it doesn't backfire on you ....but yes - it makes sense. It's our way of putting up that little 'don't hurt me' barrier - does that make sense ??? |
I get what your talking about. I would reject them too. Here's kind of similar situation that I recently went though. My fiance and I have some friends that we always include whenever we are doing something with other friends or family, but when these people do something with their other friends or family, were never invited. Now we don't always invite them, if it's a big event, birthday or something, we do, but if were just hanging out with other couples we don't invite them. It gets to the point where it's not fair. |
Kinda like absense makes the heart grow fonder? But sometimes like V said it can backfire and be out of site out of mind.:( |

I'm obviously in a vicious mood. Please forgive me! ekkk Thanks for your thoughts on this. |
I totally understand! When I first came to Canada and had no friends; hubby was always busy working and then going out after work with colleagues I got mad one day and told him that if he always neglect me and I have friends one day, I'd do the same to him! Then he finally understood I think. |

It's just hard right now with me not working, so I'm extra bored and spend all day over analyzing things. |
Oh ya know what? I am going through something similar but with my best friend. Shes been my best friend for about 17 years or so... we've been through EVERYTHING together... but in January she asked me to be one of her friends dates to their company party (they both worked in the same place) so I did. Ive known him for 7 years and it was comfortable for me and him. Anyways, we ended up really liking and enjoying each others company and now we've been dating for about 4 months and she is not happy about it at all.... she has been treating both of us differently and being all disinterested in the relationship, in my life, etc... so Ive been doing the same thing back. I don't want to fight with her, but I don't understand so I guess Im taking a step back from her like she is to me. Id rather resolve the issue, and should talk to her about it. I tried to a couple times, but nothing came of it, so yeah Im doing the same thing to her as she is to me... I guess I hope in time she'll get over whatever is wrong and come around! |

They came over to England a few years back and visited all the family but never came up to Scotland where i was living at the time..because they said it was too far to travel! They never ring me either (I ring them) No phonecall on my 30th b'day and not one phonecall when my hubby was away in the Middle East for 4 months...and they get upset with ME! I have just given up now....I last saw them back in October for a family get together and I got on quite well with them..although they did make me feel guilty about a couple of things..they are really good at doing that! I really don't want to fall out with them..my father is the type of man who will hold a grudge and just not speak to you again..he has a brother he never speaks to. oops..sorry for going on a bit! :p |
Yep, been there done that, doing it now. :) I just got dumped about a month ago. He was my best friend and wanted to stay friends. But since I wasn't good enough to date, I don't return his texts or emails. Piss on him. I'm still sad though. I've done it with others too. Your feelings get hurt and you want to try and make them feel what you are feeling about how they treat you. Sometimes it works but on guys (no offense) it ususally doesn't. They just don't get it. |
It's the "push me-pull me" game. I push you away so you come back to me - AKA "Playing hard to get". Be careful, it can backfire ;) |
I was in that sort of relationship recently but it ended in Feb. always made time for him but he never seem to want to make time for me but when it came down to his friends (female included) he had all the time in the world. I remeber one time I wnet not talking to him for a week and he was like i really missed you,I did too but I came to realize he was not worth my time or tears. |
