Tough day.... We found out yesterday that my 14 year old daughter, who is a figure skater, will need surgery on her knee to repair ligament damage she sustained in phys. ed. in school. It isn't major surgery, but if this doesn't work, the next option is a major surgery.:( Then, when we got home, my 17 year old son was speaking with an Army recruiter..... he has decided to join the reserves:eek: Not that I have anything against that, I really think it will be wonderful for him, and it will greatly help pay for his college, but I'm terrified he will end up being deployed to Iraq....of course I can't let HIM know that. So with all that on my mind I finally decided about midnight that I had to try and go to sleep because I had work this morning and had to get up at 6am, but then my husband decided he needed to talk about all this....right then. Needless to say, if I slept for two hours last night it was alot, and tonight I noticed that our upstairs bathroom is leaking from somewhere down into our newly remodeled family room. Sorry for the rambling, I just had to get it off my chest, can't let the kids see you sweat, ya know? When it rains it pours. |
Look at it this way ... If you get all of this bad stuff past in a matter of days, maybe your turn will be over.:) Seriously, it never is any one thing, is it? Sounds like you've got a lot to handle right now. I always think of the biblical line my grandma would say: This, too, shall pass. Hang in there! |
Hopefully things will get better. I will keep you all in my prayers |
I am so very sorry you had a hard day. Way too much happing all at once. Hugs to you, sweetie :ghug: |
I'm so sorry! You have way too much happening all at one time. I'll keep your family in my prayers. I hope your daughter makes a speedy recovery and your son does what's best. |
Megan's avatar should make you laugh ...:D |
Thanks everyone ! Meghan's avatar is hysterical !!! Everything has calmed down a little and I guess I'm ok with it all now. My daughter's surgery is scheduled for May 16th and my son is still planning on going in the army reserves. I know it will be good for him, but I'm a mom so I worry. Teddy makes me feel better.... I know he'll never join the army and desert me.:animal36 |
