My trip to Boise 4 Attachment(s) For those of you that have asked how it went... The flight there was pretty uneventful. It was a LONG day-I got up early to drive to Savannah then I flew from Savannah to Atlanta, then had a long layover; Atlanta to NYC (another long layover); NYC to the Twin Cities.. luckily I didn't have to change planes; then from MSP to Boise. I was lucky to not have anyone next to me on any of the flights except NYC to MSP, and I got this really awesome Canadian girl and a brain surgeon from New YOrk City. they were both really cool to talk to. I ended up staying with him, due to him not having a car.. so his roommate having to drive us everywhere. It was just easier than me staying at a hotel. Some of you know I had an issue with some things he had done a few months back, but he has changed (or at least put on a good illusion). He has gotten a job and started to get things straight again. Unfortunately b/c of his car being broken we really get to do much else besides sit aroudn his house and watch movies. On Saturday when his roommate was off work we all went downtown to a nice restaurant, then to play horseshoes and darts, and later that night all his band friends came over to jam, hangout, and have some beers. On Sunday he was hoping we could do something, but his roommate didn't get up til late and ddn't want to do anything. Sunday night Andrew took me to the pool hall near his house and he taught me how to play pool- that was fun. i wish I could have seen more of the state, but his car being broken down was unfortunately beyond his control. It was my first time off the east coast. The mountains were BEAUTIFUL! He was a complete gentleman the entire time I was there. HE didn't even try to kiss me until late the 2nd night I was there. He cooked me at least 2 meals a day (he's a good cook!) and fixed my plate for me, he brought me my blanket and covered me up if I looked cold while we were watching TV; he started the shower for me in the morning so it would be warm before I got in; he paid for everything the whole time I was there. I've definitely fallen... I talked to him today and he wants to know when I'm coming back. I want him to come here this summer for a visit. But I don't know when we are goingto be able to see each other again. After he and his friend dropped me off at the airport, I was so concentrated on gettng thru security and to my gate on time, that I wasn't sad. After getting through security I felt like crying. Then got on the plane and we sat on the runway for 2 hrs  I was so ticked off then,Ididn't even think about missing him. When I got on my plane in MSP and took out my blanket and it still smelled like him, I broke down and cried all the way to NYC :( I miss him sooooo much. Unfortunately I never did get any pics of us together. :( I kept putting it off, then the day I left I totally forgot. I did get some of the mountains though Attachment 209982 Attachment 209983 Attachment 209984 Attachment 209985 |
I am glad your trip turned out better than you expected. Boise is pretty. My brother and his family live there. I wouldn't mind moving there at all! And to think you almost didn't go... We'll be waiting to see what happens. :) |
aw, sounds like you had a really good time with him. i hope things work out and continue to get better. ok we need pictures of him!!!! |
I wouldn't mind living in Boise.. til it got cold :D It was such a nice city and seem big, but not TOO big. And from what Andrew said they are pretty low crime rate. I'll have to post one of his pics off myspace so y'all can see what he looks like. He has some tattoos and stuff, definitely not the type of guy I normally go for, but the ones I normal ones I go for end up being butts. |
Welcome (a little late) to Boise!!! It's great here! Next time you come bring your baby and we can have a play day! Not too many yorkies around here.. |
Awesome! I didn't realize there was anyone from Boise on the board. Next time I go I'll have to ask you some fun things to do.. this time the only places I got to see was Old Chicago (restaurant downtown); the Dutch Goose; Albertsons; some liquor store; and Q's (the poolhall). If I get to take Slade next time (or if I happen to move there), i'll def. let you know so we can get a playdate together. :D |
Sounds great! Georgia to Boise is a long trip! We go to North Carolina every year and I tell ya, I could do without that trip! Let me know when you come next, I'll give you some fun things to do! Hope you can bring Slade, Ranger would love to meet him! |
I'm so glad you had such a good time! I'm curious to hear how things work out between the two of you. It sounds like maybe he got his act together and was really trying to impress you! |

I think so to. I think he just got in a "funk" for awhile there when he couldn't find a job and things just weren't going his way. Gosh, I just miss him sooooooooooooooo much. Why did I have to fall for someone 2,500 miles away. I would move there this summer to be with him, but with less than $500 in the bank and bills due, I don't see that happening :( I'm so scared he is going to find someone else while I'm not there. |
