Kinda corney... but someone sent this to me so I thought I would share.... Mahatma Gandhe, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him: A super calloused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.!! |

No offense, since I know you didn't make it up, but I think it's RUDE. He was an amazing man and one of the true peacemakers of all time. I just think there's a few people who have done enough for mankind to deserve just a little respect. Sorry to be a wet blanket and I don't get offended by a lot of funny jokes, but this isn't one of them that I can keep my mouth shut about. And just to afford him what little respect might be due him, his name is Mahatma Ghandi. |

I don't think having sensitivity toward other beliefs is asking too much. I know Mandee didn't mean any offense by it but once it is pointed out, your response is of, 'take a joke', is really uncalled for. |
I'm sorry, I truly did not mean to make fun of anyone. I can honestly say that I do not know anything about Ghandi...and I really don't know 100% why this "joke" was found to be so funny...which is why I named this thread "corny" I guess I thought the joke could have been made about anyone....I didn't realize there was any significance to it being about Ghandi. so I'm sorry if I offended. I was really being silly and stupid and posting something that was sent in an email not realizing the meaning behind it. live and learn, right?? :D |

Well....the first thing I need to do here is to apologise. I should also say that I believe Ghandi to have been a very wise man. And....I really didn't think the 'joke' was funny....I just didn't think Mandee meant any disrespect. Responding to this post was a mistake.
