implantable contact lenses I found out yesterday I'm not a candidate for lasik. My cornea's are too thin. Needless to say, I'm incredibly disappointed. I've worn glasses since I was 10, so 17 years and I can't see well at all without them. My doctor told me I would be a good candidate for implantable contact lenses. They pretty much put a special contact lens inside your eye that corrects your vision. It can be removed by a doctor if there's an issue or if your prescription changes. I'm just curious if anyone here has had it done, or if anyone knows anyone that's had it done? And any comments? etc? I'm going to look into it as an option but it sounds pretty freaky to me. |
I've never even heard of that. You may want to research it a bit online to make sure there aren't any adverse side effects. Sounds very cool though! |
I to was turned down for lasik. Ive never heard of the contact stuff but let us know what you learn, I cant wait to learn more. |
So like a contact that stays in your eyes permanantly??? I have never heard of that. No thanks. |
I have never heard of that either. It sounds interesting though, and I hope you learn about it and come back to tell us. I guess I would be concerned if it feels anything like a normal contact lens? Will it dry out? Does it shift on your eye? Good luck searching and I can't wait to hear what you find out! |
