I used to watch Days, had been watching since I was 15, but it has gotten so ridiculous lately, I refuse to watch. I stopped watching it when they had Marlena supposedly killing everyone except she really wasn't and Stefano was whisking them off to some island he had made just like Salem. :thumbdown :thumbdown I think Days of our Lives takes the cake with their dumb, dumb story lines.

I, too, have been watching Y&R for over 20 years and now I TIVO it when at work. I really like the new Adam and am waiting to see where the writers take this character. He is truly a young Victor even though Victor didn't raise him and I think Victor sees himself in Adam.

I don't like Sabrina at all....she is way to young for Victor and I almost gagged myself when he carried her up those stairs..oh brother.

I really like Phyllis and Nick but wonder where this is going to go if Felicia (B&B) gal starts to go after Nick.

Amber - didn't like her in B&B and don't like her much in Y&R but at least in Y&R she isn't as ruthless.

I agree with some that they will bring John back in some way - I kinda like him with Gloria. She is evil though and wish she would get a taste of her own medicine at least once.:eek:

That is surprising to me too that they are really married. NO chemistry whatsoever there! What a boring couple. And I agree; I don't like her hair lighter. I thought she was absolutely gorgeous before with that striking dark hair--even with the gap in her teeth and all. But I think the lighter hair looks washed out and messy.

When Kay collapsed about a month ago, I got all teary-eyed, thinking she had died. She's been on this show forever.

I started watching it in 1981 (I think. I was 11 :rolleyes: ). The first episode I saw, it was Jack (Terry Lester) was married to Patty Williams (Paul's sister), and he was admitting that the reason he married her was so he could be president of Jabot (I never knew what the deal was before that, why that meant he had to marry Patty.) That was when Jack and Jill were having an affair, while Jill was married to John Abbott--the first time.
Around the same time, Victoria was born, and it was actually thought that Kevin Bancroft was her father. I remember her mother-in-law at the time was a horrible, wicked woman who thought Nikki was trash, and there was a faked porno movie out called "Hot Hips" that was cut with clips of Nikki stripping and another person doing the porno. It was a big scandal, and then later somehow it was determined that Victor was really Victoria's father.

So by my calculations, Victoria should actually be about 27 or so.

She would've had to be really good to impersonate Phyllis, because she really didn't know anything about Phyllis she just made herself look like Phyllis because she knew she would be able to get close to Michael and Lauren.

I just hope they don't do it, this is the only soap I watch because it doesn't have those dumb story lines. I will be so very disappointed.

I started watching the show in the late 70s with my grandmother. I was about 9 or so. I watched it every day with her. I remember when Michael raped Kricket and went to prison. Last time I heard anyone talk about that they said it was just sexual arrassment. I liked when Jill and katherine used to fight all the time. I thought it was great when they made them related. I did not know that Victoria and JT were married in real life. They do not have any chemistry on the show at all!!

I don't think Michael ever rapped her...he tried but Danny and Paul busted into the room before he was able to. That's the way I recall it.

I like the Katherine/Jill story line also.

This is fun....I love Y & R. So much part of my life and now my 10 year old is carrying on the tradition.

David and Nikki are horrible together, I find Nikki so boring lately and they better not put her and Victor back together after all that he said to her. She could never forget the horrible things he said to her and then to dump his son the way he did. Nasty!!!!!

Phyllis and Nick are hot together they have great chemistry but then I find that Phyllis can have great chemistry with any man. She's just a great actress. I think trouble is brewing with Nick and Felicia. I'm pretty sure that Felicia is hot on him and will do anything to get what she wants. In the end I bet that Adam and Phyllis end up having an affair too. That's just what Y&R is famous for. Infidelity and everyone being married to each other at some point in time. I'm actually wondering if Brad isn't starting trouble for David to go after Nikki once again, she's pretty powerful now and Brad loves power. He would love to throw a relationship with Nikki at Victoria and Victor.

I find Paul and Meagen boring, I don't see the chemistry there. They don't even have much of a part these days.

I think that David is going to end up responsible for Jii Min's death.

I hate Victoria's hair too. She was looking so good before she did that. I didn't even notice the gap gone. I have to pay attention now. Why would she get rid of it now. What if her son ends up with the same gap??? She should have done it years ago if she didn't like it. I like her and JT together but lately JT doesn't have much of a part.

I will be sad when Katherine goes. It will be like losing a grandma, she's been such a big part of my life. She will be missed by all I'm sure.

Yeah, Jack is a jerk. I've always liked Victor even though I know he's done some terrible things. I hated how his pride got in the way of him and Nicki, but I could see he was hurt be the whole thing too.

I think the writers will always find a way to put Nikki and Victor back together, she has forgiven him for alot worse.

I think Brad just want to get rid of David because of his position at Jabot, he wants to be top dog. Once he gets rid of David he will probably start trying to make Nikki look incompetent so that he can run Jabot.

I keep waiting for Paul to leave the show, everytime he starts disappearing into the wood work they give him a storyline, first the Sheila/Phyllis story and then his daughter Heather coming back into town. Yes he and Maggie are very boring.

It will be a big loss when Katherine leaves the show, I thought it was bad when they killed John off, her leaving will be so much worse.

Speaking of Brad.. why is he so cunning? Has he always been like that? I remember he used to be okay when he was with Victoria.. but since then, he's just been so ruthless. I don't even understand that.

I don't understand Felicia and why she is going after Nick. And why Nick can't see that!!! I hope nothing breaks up Phylis and Nick, they are so cute together. I really like their chemistry.

I honestly think that Dru is going to come back. I mean she has to now! Her daughter is pregnant. Plus, my grandmother has already said that she's thinks she's going to come back, and she's usually 99% right when it comes to her hunches. I hope she does. As nutty as she was, you can't help but love dru.

As far as gloria, I hope she figures things out with her sons. I hate that Michael and Kevin just abandoned her the way they did. I hate that she's so lonely. I dunno if she's going to hook up with Jeffery or Alistar, that will be fun to figure out.

At first I never liked Sharon and Jack together, and I was surprised she would condone his tactics about how he treats gloria. She seemed like the level headed one, I would have never thought she would stoop to tricks and such.. but hey!

Okay..I just found this thread...I am a true Y&R fan. I listen to it on my tv/radio at work, then watch it at home on soapnet...I also record it on DVR just in case I miss it altogether.

Devon is adopted...they fostered him when he was in HS and then adopted him. He actually admitted to wanting to be with Lily I think before he was adopted but as far as I know that's not the case anymore...but you never know.

I am starting to like Victoria but have not till recently. Don'tike Sabrina and agree with Victorias' response. I didn't care for Cane, as Lilly brings out the best in him, (I hope) I like Lilly and think she is pretty. Am I the only one who thinks she resembles the painting "MONA LISA".? As for Gloria, I think she may be sincere, but think she casres for Jeffrey. This fake John Abbott is odd. He lisps a lot it seems. Weird steroy line cuz John has very definite mannerisms etc. I think he shouild turn out to be his long lost twin brother......worked with WM Bardwell. I like Michael and Lauren. duisappointed Jack & Sharon gbot the house. I wanted to see a pretty new mansion!~ I really never expected to see Jerry douglas aka John abbott back, thought he retired. Knotts Landing had Ted Shackelford aka Bardwell, and the first short lived Gloria. I like this Gloria......keeps it going. I am watching now on Sat Night Soaps. Poor Lilly....too young for a baby.

I cannot stand Adam:thumbdown:thumbdown. I dislike him more and more every day!!! And it makes me mad because I know they are maneuvering the storyline to have him and Phyllis "do it" eventually. I know that is the direction they're going to take it. We already know that in some strange scenario, Nick and Felicia are gonna "do it."

The only ones that need to "do it" already are Gloria and Jeffrey.
