Migraine headaches Does any one have frequent migraine headches. I have had them everyday this week...it starts off like a normal headache and then progresses through out the day . It is severe to the point where I am sick to my stomach, does anyone have any advise or has anyone experienced this? |
I have them sometimes, normally during that wonderful time of the month! I take Excedrin migraine for mine and it works good. Hope you feel better soon! Pam |
My mother has migraines. I have been lucky to not have to worry with them but every once in awhile my mother will get one and she gets them bad. She actually gets like tunnel vision sometimes. I dunno what she takes but I think its prescription. |
I have had two. Mine came on FAST.... I threw up every half hour or so, it felt like some one was picking at my brain with an ice pick... I couldn't stand noise, but being alone and quiet made me focus on the pain worse. My husband massaging my head helped it go away but it was very bad and I could not function. They only lasted about 5 hours or so... once they peaked they seemed to slowly SLOWLY go away.... Very scary. My doctor told me if this ever happens again to go the the ER.... :eek: |
I get them the week before my period and I take excedrin migraine, if I take 2 as soon as I feel it coming on usually that helps. |
I will def try the excedrin migraine, I hadn't heard about it before. Seriously all I want to do when I have these is go in a dark quiet room...but with nursing school and a 2 year old it is next to impossible. I am just getting tired of having them. Every morning I wake up with a headache and it just gets worse and it's soo frustrating. But I will give the excedrin a try! Thanks soo much everyone! |
I have gotten them since I was 17, I'm 48 now...so it has been a long time. I have found that if I drink a bottle of Gatorade it does help. I now drink a bottle every day and I haven't had a bad one in months. I still get them but not to where I can't function. Excedrin Migraine is the same thing as Excedrin & Excedrin Tension. They all have the exact same ingredients. I can't take any of the meds out there for them...I have very strange reactions to them. I wake up and see clowns on my ceiling fan and things come though my walls at night...so that is worse than dealing with the migraines. Ice packs on the back of the head/neck area sometimes helps. |
I have them, they are caused by my TMJ problems. I find that prescription Fioricet is the only thing that knocks out the pain. |
Our daughter's oncologist told her to take 3 ibruprofen and 3 tylenol when she starts to see spots. She does that, and now she will have migraines about twice a year where she has to go the the ER. |
I used to have really bad headaches it seemed like every week or two for years. I don't know if they were considered migraines but all I wanted to do was sleep because my head felt like it was going to explode and I could feel the muscles in my eyes ache if I would move them. Sometimes I would wake up with a headache.:rolleyes: Anyway I also used to take Excedrin all the time...probably a bottle every couple of months. Eventually I found out I have borderline high blood pressure. If I don't watch my salt intake, I will have a pounding headache and usually my blood pressure will be around 160/98. |
