Connie, that is amazing. Deer right in your own backyard. Deer are not here where I live (too crowded and not any wooded areas really), but 20 miles north in Westchester county, they have a big problem with them. They are not welcome at all. They are about as welcome as rats. YUCK! But those pictures are really neat! |
So cute! I love deer! I wish I could have one as a pet! :p |
Great Pictures and so many of them:D They are cute! |
Cute until you hit one with your car. Speaking from experience. My dh is on the road a lot with his business; he's probably hit about six over a 20 yr. period. |

sooo scary! Quite a few years ago, I hit a deer on the road from NYC to Vermont. I was looking to my right and saw one, and said, "Oh, what a cute Bambi". Then SMACK! BAM! ALAKAZAM! Slammed into Bambi's mama. Burst my water heater and the car barely made it to the gas station on the Taconic State Parkway in Upstate NY. (Near Hudson, NY.) My cell phone had no signal. I was lucky to have made it to the gas station to use a phone. Called the State Police and they sent a state trooper to check it out and also sent a tow truck. My parents were staying at the Hampton Inn in Bennington, VT, and it was a good thing they had a suite because I had to stay there for 4 days until my car got fixed. They sent a driver to get me (I was 2 hours away). So I freak when I see a deer crossing sign. This happened in September at dusk when the deer come down to graze, see headlights and FREEZE! |
Those pics are really pretty. Thanks for sharing! I think deer are so beautiful. We have some in our neighborhood too. Haven't gotten any pics yet, hopefully I will someday. |
