New Jersey Daffodils 1 Attachment(s) I was driving over the Ben Franklin Bridge yesterday on the way to visit my Grandson at Children's hospital when I noticed that someone had planted daffodils. There must have been thousands of dollars worth of daffodil bulbs planted. I just had to take a picture. Only in NJ would you see gorgeous daffodils growing amongst the trash and debris and discarded junk. I missed a really great picture of the "bedding" left under the bridge foundation where certain people have to sleep at night. This all left me feeling so sad. |
That is sad! You would think they would clean that area up. (Good thing you weren't driving on Walt Whitman!) |
It's so sad isn't it??? Some people just have no respect for anything. How can people stand to look at that?? |
ugh...jersey... |

Really!! I was going over the bridge at 5PM and the problem on the WW started at 4:30PM. Did they ever find out what his problem was/is?? |

I love daffodils! There are so many blooming around where I live too! I love going for walks and driving by them...it makes my day a little bit brighter. |

ugh that's disgusting. Beautiful daffodils. I wish NJ would do more to keep our state clean. It could be so beautiful if people just tried a little harder. |
Those daffodils are beautiful. :) That is such a shame that the beauty of them is taken away somewhat by all that trash laying around. :( We here in PA have something called " Adopt a Highway ". Where a person or organization picks a certain stretch of highway/road and a couple of times a year goes out there and picks up the trash. Believe me there are still lots.......of stretches of roads in PA that could be adopted but @ least it's a start. Thanks for sharing. How was your grandson doing when you visited him @ the hospital?:icon5: |

Maybe each city could run ads to enlist people to "adopt" an area that they keep clean. Here in CA. people "adopt" hwy's and the city supplies the trash bags and pick up poles. Some of these people go as far as buying wild flower seeds and just throwing them around here and there. |
Here in Jersey, highways can be adopted too. But people are still to lazy to clean them and too lazy to throw their trash in a garbagecan. =( |
oh what a sight it is indeed . . . you cannot even appreciate the beauty of the daffodiles due to too much trash :( |
UCK!!! had there been a flood from a landfill to bring that much garbage there?? Nasty!! |

Uhm...NO! It's Joisey whatcha expect? LOL We do have some beautiful areas in NJ though. Lots of gorgeous horse farms and waterfront properties - but we have two of the worst cities in the country here too - Newark and Camden. This picture takes place very close to Camden where the two main money makers are drugs and prostitution. Right under the structure that you can barely see in the picture there are rolled up hunks of foam that are all the beds some people have, unfortunately. I know what's really going on, because I work for a health center in Camden. Camden is such a tangled mess of corruption and destitution they will never unravel it. Maybe later this week I'll post some more pics of the "abandominiums" - burned out houses that some people call home. |
MERCY!!!! what a disgusting mess,, never been there and certainly dont want to go now!! IckyPoo!!! LOL Quote:

Honestly, if our state took some of the money that they're wasting, then all of NJ could be gorgeous. It must've been gorgeous at one time cause its called "The Garden State," there's no reason we can't go back to that. |
I have a friend who lives in Warren NJ. She has started her own dog bakery and catering and they do more. :D http://www.friedasfavorites.com/ |
