how do i start a fundraiser???for nicolas
 

sorry guys i am not asking anyone from here to donate any money i am just asking to see if anyone knows who to contact or how to start one. my nicolas needs his tongue surgery and the doctor said he would do it yesterday , but as always the insurance will not pay for it unles its medically necessary(not breathing,not able to eat etc..)and we really need this now he said he can do it so i was just wondering if anyone here has been in the same situation???

YT rules state that you can not ask for donations here.
If you had Items to sell I think you can do that but YT will not let fundraisers per say.

I think you would set up a bank account then start contacing local radio stations and tv stations schools churches tell them whats going on and the bank where they can donate at and Pick out what kind of fundraiser you would like to do maybe have a pizza parlor thing here we have them all the time the pizza parlor donates so much money of the earnings the night of your fundraiser or theres always a car wash idea Hope this helps a lil

thank you for your ideas i just want to clarify for the person above that i am not asking for any money from any yters. cant a human being in need and in pain ask for peoples opinions b4 they jump into there own???that is whats wrong with this world people dont take the time to listen or in this case read i was just asking for opinions on how to start one not asking for money i have never asked for anything here and never will(well actually i have asked for something only prayers and i dont think that does not cost any money) but thank you for reading my post and understanding i was just asking a question and i will not tolerate anyone putting any words in my mouth that i have not said or in this case(written)

i di call the local news here and they told that all they would do is cover the story but they had no info on how to start a fundraiser thanx guys for being so kind for opinions cathy

all you need them to do is cover the story and air the bank account name and pray again that ppl are wacthing listening and caring

Just wanted to let you know that daisy would never intentionally be mean or rude and i dont think she thought you where asking for money i think she thought you were wondering about doing a fundraiser on here and that may have been misinterupeted ..But Daisy is a very nice person and going thru her own crisses just as real as yours i would hope you would do to others as you want done to you Im not trying to start anything i just hate when i see ppl not geting along and dont want to see anyone feelings get hurt

I'm sorry about your Nicholas. I do want to say daisy mae (Lori)is one of the most kindest, caring and wonderful people here on YT and I can call her a very close and sincere friend. I am sure she meant nothing mean by her post and I hope you can understand her grandma has cancer right now and she is dealing with her own issues so I'm sure it was stress and worry that may have made her post come out that way. I know she would never mean anyone harm or negative thoughts to anyone!!

Besides all the other suggestions, I would suggest to get a lot of jars with a cut out in the top for people to put money in. Put a picture of the baby on the jar with an exclamation of him needing surgery. Then take the jars to gas stations, convenience stores, grocery stores, and where ever there is a lot of people coming and going. That really adds up.

In Lori's defense, I have to say that she wasn't trying to be mean. Right now she is going through the waiting game of finding out about her Grandma's cancer. I know exactly what that's like and it's very hard to concentrate on other things with something like that on the mind. She's a sweetheart and also needs our support right now!

Good luck in your fund drive! About the insurance, many times they will turn down the first request, and it takes 2 or 3 times before they agree. Can't the doctor go to bat for him and resubmit it?

I have felt that way too but realized with more then 3o,ooo members its hard for me to expect a imediate kinship withsomeone the ppl i do know i know from others and i have had a few very nice ppl reach out to me and i have reached out on a personal leval to please dont feel that your not welcome there are so many ppl pn here that have things going on with there lifes and sometimes that refelcts in our messages its so hard to really understand a tone of a message as it is sometimes so inpersonal but with that being said i still geniunely love to come hear and while im not yet comfy really stating my personal life here right now and belive me i have issues i have found a scantionary here and when i felt like leaving, couldnt because i have found a place where i feel i can escape too i hope that you can find that here too and find away to see past the sometimes inpersonal technology i only wish it was a nightly meeting place !!

As far as the Insurance, don't take their first denial always ask for a review, talk to a Manger whatever you need to do. I worked in human insurance claims dept for 33 years and decisons do get reversed. The best way to handle is to be pleasant but forceful. VPI reversed a decison on Cali and instead of getting nothing I got 1200 on bills over 3000. Also, I don't know if this is an option, but when Dixie was so ill I had to take out the Car Credit card and if approved it is interest free for so many months. I am just paying off the last of her bills today. I hope you can get some help as I now how hard it is to come up with the money for much needed vet bills.
