Tattoo Removal Anybody had a unwanted tattoo removed before? If so, please explain your tatt and how successful the result was. I'm deeply considering it. I just don't like it anymore, my feelings have changed immensely. At first I absolutely loved it, but now I know one thing for sure... I enjoy looking at tats on someone else than on my own body! It's unfortunate I feel this way, but feelings change I guess. I will post a picture of my tattoo soon, tell me what you guys think (if the results would turn out to be great) Any info would be great. |
I was once told that the tattoo removal will still show light "stains" of the tattoo....almost to the point where its like well maybe I should of just keep it there than waste my money. Its not guarenteed. If you don't mind me asking what is the tattoo of? |

Well, I agree 50%. If the tattoo is big and is visible to exposure in public, then you'd regret getting remove, but if it's hidden somewhere, where you do not show in public most of the time and is a reasonable size then I wouldn't regret removing it. It's better to have a slight tint, than the tattoo being very noticable due to the colour and boldness. As I did do some searching on google, specifically Toronto Laser Removal Clinics, that read that Black,. Blue and red are the easiest to remove and usually best results... depending on size and location as well, so this brought me more courage to go ahead and do it, because my tattoo is blue with different shades of blue. here are two pictures of it: Full body shot (minus my head) http://i30.tinypic.com/v8oifl.jpg Close up http://i27.tinypic.com/evb420.jpg The outlining is dark blue, but looks black in this pic because of the purity and boldness, because that was taken a few days after I got my tattoo. |
I personally think your tattoo is beautiful. But if you hate it you hate it; & i totally understand. I got one on my toe & regretted it immediately. I have had two removal treatments & all except for one heavy line it's almost completely gone. Right now you can tell where it was because the skin is still red from the laser which takes a very long time to go away. it has been over 2 months since my last treatment. I am waiting until winter to hit it again; because the combination of tanning & laser can be detrimental to your skin. Sometimes I think it was a waste of money; but i've been wearing sandals now for 2 months & no one has noticed it; so it must have worked. I would just go talk to a laser specialist & they can tell you what kind of results you can expect. Your skin will never look like it did before the tattoo & it hurts like you would not believe. But other than that it was worth is for me. |
Awww I love you Tat ... it's cute ... I have several of them and I made shure there on places where there covered up .... they can only be seen if I want it too ..... I have been told the removal hurts more then getting it ...... |
Personally, I wouldn't remove it. . .but I'm biased. :D |
I've considered getting one of my tats removed. Laser would be the way that I go. Only problem is, the guy that did it obviously didn't know what he was doing since there is a lot of scarring where he went too deep. It's unfortunate but I'm afraid that if I were to get it lasered off, you would still see the outline and other parts because of the scarring. :( |

Really, a tattoo is just a colorful scar. And if you remove it, you will still have a scar. So, which do you prefer? An obvious tattoo scar or a spot on your skin that will never look the same again? |
I think it's a really nice and real easy to cover up. I personally would leave well enough alone - I've seen some real messed up removals and I would not want to go there. I have something similar on the back of my shoulder - so I think your butterfly is very pretty. Have you thought about trying to use the same tatt and converting it into something else??:) |

I have makeup made for tattoo cover, I have to wear it when doing theater work. It isn't cheap but it does a pretty good job if you ever just don't want to show it off. I cover one of my tattoos at work so people don't ask me about it. It gets really old saying the same thing 30 times a night about the same tattoo. Makes it lose meaning to me. |
