ITS OFFICIAL! i'm moving to Costa Rica!!!!! we have been toying with the idea for a few months now, but have just found out that our deposit on the place we will be staying has been accepted and we are moving there December 1st 2008!!!!! :) both tommy (my cat) and dexter (yorkie) are coming with us as there are no quarintine time when taking pets there. it was hard to find a condo that allowed pets, but we found a beautiful 2 bedroom condo with ocean view that allows pets and is a 2 min walk from the beach!!! the only bad part of this is that i was planning on getting a little sister for dexter but am putting that on hold since the two "kids" are going to be a lot in themselves to transport. so no little yorkie girl in our near future, but you have to take the good with the bad i suppose! I am sooooo excited that i dont have to put up with a canadian winter next year! lol! we are renting a condo for 6 months starting december 1st. after that time we will decide if that is a place we would like to stay and will likely invest in property there and a condo in Toronto and live between the two! i am sooo unbelievably happy and really cannot believe what i have been through and accomplished in the past few years...i battled cancer (cancer free for 1 year 6 months!) while starting my own business, worked 12 hour days to grow the business to a point where it could be sold for a good profit and now get to enjoy some relaxation for all of my hard work! im quite proud of my accomplishments and just wanted to share my good news with all my YT friends! thanks for listening and i will have internet at our place there so can still get my YT fix while living there! :p :) |
That all sounds so exciting for the two of you. Congratulations. Something nice to look forward too. I envy you getting away from WINTER! As each year goes by I hate it more and more. I would love to move to the Carolina's. I can't leave my kids though:( Good luck to you. Hope everythig goes perfectly. |

We will be going in August - Usually we go during the summer months since that is when the best swell is but we have also slipped over there during Christmas :) You have to take up surfing! Tamarindo has a perfect beach break for learning. My husband spent a lot of time in Costa Rica in the Special Ops so he really loves it there. |
