Burberry Cruelty !! Burberry may be best known for its distinctive plaid, but its use of real fur is making the design house synonymous with cruelty to animals. Burberry continues to use fur in its designs despite the fact that leading clothing retailers like J.Crew, Ann Taylor, Polo Ralph Lauren, and others have pulled fur from their stores forever. Animals on fur farms spend their entire lives confined to cramped, filthy wire cages, where they are exposed to all weather conditions. They often go without adequate shelter, clean water, veterinary care, or the ability to engage in natural behaviors like climbing, burrowing, and swimming. The intensive confinement causes many of them to go insane. http://www.furisdead.com/feat-burberry.asp |
This really angers me as I'm a big Burberry fan/consumer. I had no idea that they makes ANYTHING with fur but I went out and looked and they certainly do! Shame on them-I won't be buying anything Burberry until they change this.:thumbdown |
reason #2 I dont like burberry. it may be distinctive, but i dont find it that attractive |
I've always been a burberry fan too. I had to idea! |
Wow I had no idea. I will no longer be purchasing anymore Burberry items until they stop using fur. I'm just sad I didn't know about this before I asked for a trench and purse from them over Christmas. Now I just feel awful that I am supporting animal cruelty. |
I'm telling my father in law to take Burberry out of our store!!!!!!!!!! |
Practically all (with the exception of very few) high end designers use fur or some sort of animal skin. |
wow I didn't know that. I love Burberry and have a purse and watch but now I am really upset. |

I have never liked Burberry so I wouldnt buy it anyway. |
I swear, it seems the only real "designer" one can trust these days is Stella McCartney. I wish more would follow her lead, ya know? Boy, her Momma must be proud! :) |
