OMG so yesterday i was calling the targets in my area looking for a Wii. I had called a bunch of places the night before so i had a few numbers in my call log on my cell. Well i called two of the targets and they were out. shocker. Then i tried the third target, but it wasn't target, it was Best Buy. eh, i'll stay on the line and ask them. So in my "they're not going to have it voice" i asked if they had any Wii's today and the guy said yes! i was so shocked i was like "are you $...ing me????" he laughed and said no we have 13 left. I begged him to put one on hold for me. He was only allowed to do it for an hour so i said ok i'll find someone to pick it up for me because i was at work. i called a bunch of people and nobody could go. :( Luckily we were really slow at work so i ran off for a half hour to go pick it up. i'm so happy! I've been playing all day today.

my arms are killing me from playing so many sports games. Plus i have the mario and sonic olympics game which also gives your arms a workout with the rowing and running events.

So anyone have any favorite games that they recommend????

cockerduchess 03-28-2008 09:41 PM

YA! You finally got one!!! I like the games it comes with and Carnival Games are fun if you have people to play with.

Oh my!! I'm glad she's okay! I suspect that in the near future, there will be all sorts of liability disclaimers covering the box of the Wii consoles!! :p

Whenever we have friends over they love to play and compete against eachother. It is also a great workout. :) Also, I have been a dancer my whole life, even on the professional level, and it is still challenging and fun to see people try who aren't natural "dancers".

LOL - may have to try it. I'd say I'm somewhere between "two left feet" and a "professional". ;)

oh my gosh! I love the Wii!!! My fiance and I got one that had the sports bundle and it is sooo much fun. We later bought cabelas big game hunt and monster jam but we still go back to playing the wii sports everytime. We are scared to buy anything else cause we feel like we would be wasting money since we keep playing the sports all the time. Lol! However...today is my birthday and my fiance bought me super mario galaxy! I love it!! However I dont enjoy playing it as much without him. lol. He is player 2 on it so I control mario and he gathers stars and helps me ward off and kill enemies! Lol. Sooo fun! We have played super paper mario before...its neat but we had rented it and almost beat it completely so we figured we shouldnt buy it cause we would have it beat in like an hour probably and then we might never play it again...dunno. LOL!!
But yea... I LOOOOVE THE WII!!!!

I just LOVE the Wii! I think the puppies think Brendon and I are crazy when we're playing it though. We get some of the funniest little tilted head "what are you doing" looks. LOL

i think morgan is scared when i play Wii. she gets up on the couch and won't come down. Sometimes she'll bury herself in the blankets so she can't see out. LOL i guess she's scared of mommy moving around like a psycho for no reason she can see.

I got the Wii a few weeks ago and I'm addicted! I've even gotten the BF and most of my friends addicted to the games. I'd have to say right now I'm addicted to Guitar Hero. I'm getting pretty good at it, but I still can't handle it on medium. LOL.

I won it on Easy, started Medium (both daughters and hubby have won on Medium. Hubby is on Hard now.)

I okay on Medium but get frustrated, so I'm going back to try for perfect on all songs on Easy. .... THEN I'll feel really good about myself!!

BF and I spent all day yesterday playing Wii sports and I am soooo sore! I think boxing is going to become part of my workout from now on:D

LittleMansMomma 04-12-2008 10:36 PM

It's a long post...sorry...but it is funny!

I love my Wii. We got it 3 weeks ago. I beat hubby in bowling all the time on it, but he beats me when go bowling for real

I gotta tell ya'll a funny story. It's long but it's funny I promise you will be laughing your booties off trying to picture a 30 yr. old woman going acting like a kid! :D

I asked for either a Wii or a Laptop for Christmas. When presents are under the tree I get like a kid. I wanna shake em or hold em to see how heavy or light they are. LOL!

Anyways, hubby came home from doing his Christmas shopping and told me to go into the bedroom and don't come out until he comes and gets me. I do (thinking ok I'll be good this year! yeah ok!) Well I was in the bedroom finishing up wrapping some gifts, well I finished early. Hubby left the t.v. on and it was loud and I could everything that was going on. Well I heard the the music to either Mario Galaxy or Mario Party 8 (which was a commercial on t.v.).

I went crazy, I just knew I got the Wii for Christmas! I yelled at him for not being fair because he was playing my Christmas gift! I text him and told him what I thought I was hearing well it wasn't a just a few minutes later and there was no sound coming from the livingroom. Hubby had muted the t.v., it was just like 3 seconds later I heard him yell "aww, man that's so cool." Well I just got so excited. I called everyone, my mom, MIL, my whole family just about telling them that my husband was playing with my Christmas present while I was stuck in the bedroom! I finally got to come out of the room and I automatically went to the tree and started looking and hubby was laughing his tail off. I found the box under the tree!

Well I had to leave to go to the grocery store, when I got back I saw in the window was another big box that wasn't there before  so I thought ok he also got me a pj set. When I walked in I said you really ought to move that box in the window, cause you can see it from the road (trying really hard to be a good girl ;) ).

A couple of days later, that box went missing but the box that I thought the wii was in was still under the tree. I didn't think nothing about it. Until I was getting the spare rooms ready for company, well I found that box under the bed in the spare room. Well me being nosy got down on all fours and pushed the box a little to see if it was heavy or not. It was HEAVY!!! So my mind went to working. I knew right then and there hubby went and got me both the Wii and the Laptop! Well sometime Christmas eve night that box appeared under the tree.

Christmas Morning arrived!!! I was at the tree ready and waiting. He gave me the box that I knew was the Wii. The box was heavy!!! I was so excited I tore off the paper and it was just regular brown box. I thought ok. He's wanting to surprise me. I got the box open. It was a black carrying case for a laptop. I thought huh??? I looked from him to the case back to him before it dawned on me that he actually did buy me the laptop! I automatically dove under the tree to get the other box. After I got the laptop unwrapped, I was so excited that I was actually jumping up and down. I ran over toward him and just about knocked us both down. I was that excited!!! :D

I was cleaning the mess up and realized I never got around to seeing what else was in that box with carrying case. It was a HUGE BRICK!!!!!

I'm sorry it was so long!!!
