I need some advice. WWYD??? I have a VERY colse friend whos sister-in-law passed away. She was very young in 30's and had 2 little girls. She had a brain tumor when she was 18. After all these year of fighting her body was tired and she got a virus and her body was not stong enough to fight it, so sad.Her funeral is today at 2:00 which is when we had plans to got to a egg hunt. Now, my mother-in-law can take my kids to the hunt, but I am so torn on what to do. I cant do both. I have already given my friend a card and Easter Lily, but should I skip the egg hunt to go to the funeral?? |
Im so sorry for your loss. I can not tell you what to do but if I were in the situation you are, I would go to he funeral. I know you are in a hard spot but im sure your friend will appreciate your support at this hard time. Try to explain to the children that you are very sorry and will make it up to them, maybe buy the plastic eggs and fill hem with candy, stickers and do a small easter egg hunt a home with them. Im sure they will like that. They get to spend time with grandma and they get to do something different with mommy, and you will be here to help your friend at this sad time. |

your very welcome. we just lost my husbands grandma and it was one of the saddest times for my family but with god and prayers we are hanging in there. I will keep your family and friend in prayer. :hug: |
I would go to the funeral. Your friend needs you. There will be many egg hunts to come. |
