Received MRI results I appreciate those of you that have been praying for me these past couple weeks, I was given the results yesterday on the MRI. Being my stubborn self not wanting to see a neuro-surgeon ( involving c4 c5 c6 in my neck) I have opted to see a neuro specialist to do the nerve conduction tests, please keep me in your prayers. Also seeking the Lord's will in our getting another vehicle, we just don't know what to get. Just the thought of getting into anything small really frightens me and I thought I was paranoid but am seeing this come out in Jack too. To have such happen to us was really traumatic and guess it will take the both of us awile to get over it. I generally don't like making negative remarks but have to comment on the following situation we are encountering. What a big dissapointment in the auto industy. Upon searching in our area for a new vehicle :( oh my gosh, what ever happened to the auto industry extending customers courtesy and appreciation in doing business with them? I would think with the economy being as it is,that the dealerships would be accomodating us that come through their doors with more manners  I think I shall try to find through the internet how I can locate what we want and just bypass the local dealers, they certainly aren't earning our respect nor our business. Again I want to thank you for your prayers, as yet I don't know what lies ahead be it in treatments or surgery, but with my trusting in the Lord, I know HE will help me get through whatever. I just pray I will always keep strong in my Faith and never waiver or doubt anything. Life is so difficult at times. Hugs, Patti and Jack |
love saturns there cheap american made safe and cheap on gas the dealers dont bug you I only buy american for the past 15 years hope you will too |
Patti - I hope you can find some relief soon. Good luck in your auto search. Might I suggest looking at the consumer reports for crash testing? That might help you feel a little safer. |
PATTI - you have my prayers and all the best to you !!! I'm glad you're going to see someone !! and this country has lost 2 words I think - CUSTOMER SERVICE :( it's all about the profit margin isn't it ? |
I Hope you can get some help from the specialist. Good luck in your search for a new car. You are in my prayers. |
Wishing you the best of luck with the medical issues. It sounds like a long road and not a pleasant one. Hope you heal quickly! As for the car industry issue..... I was pleasantly surprised recently when car shopping. I have always dealt with a local Chevy dealer in my small town (with our first SUV - a Blazer - and all 3 past Tahoes). This time I went to Lawrence Marshall in Hempstead and I've gotta say that they treated me better than anybody ever has. They are determined to get you in a vehicle for the price you can pay (and will beat any other deal you've heard of) and did everything in their power to do that - including offering more for my trade in than I ever expected. Unfortunately in our case, we still owe too much on our Tahoe and so I couldn't get the car I wanted but we will definitely go back to them when are ready because of the awesome deal they made and because of their excellent customer service. It may have helped some that we knew the salesguy but everyone there was so customer oriented. Like I said, I was pleasantly surprised. I hope you have the good fortune to finally meet someone like that soon. |
I am not sure where you live but if you are near me, my husband would take great care of you. He manages a large Honda dealer and does no tolerate rude behavior in his dealership! Unfortunately when lots sell tons of cars and they have many people working for them it is hard to watch them all ...all the time. Due to the advance in technology, you can now do most of your shopping on the internet and go in with all the information. Informed buyers are the best ones! It pays to do your research. Knowing what you want before you show up on the lot gives you more leverage when they start trying to push you into a different car. KNOW what you want to pay. YOU can print the invoices off the internet. Just know that there will be dealer fees, location packs etc added to the cost. But knowing what the dearler paid for the car gives you the upper hand. YOU would not believe how many people come in, not knowing invoice price and expect my husband to sell them a car for thousands of dollars less than they paid for it. Research will mean less frustration for you when you go! Good luck in your search! Also good luck in your testing, surgery and recovery! |
Patti ~ Prayers your way, for a knowledgeable neuro surgeon, who is also blessed with compassion (so important!) Quote:

Patti & Jack, Continued prayers for health and well being .... I have had similar experiences with car dealerships and it seemed to me that because I was a woman they treated me differently than they would a man. They did not seem to realize that I had done my homework, knew exactly what I wanted and what price I was willing to agree to. A few dealerships treated me less than equal and I immediately left and I kept looking until I found one that answered all my questions, was willing to work on price and did not treat me as inferior .... Here I purchased my vehicle and will purchase my next one .... when the time comes. Good luck with your search. Hugs, Janie |
I'll be saying a special prayer for you and I know HE will help you and your husband thru this difficult time! |
Sending you best wishes and prayers ! |
