I just got my Macbook!!
 
Well my Dell desktop of 8 years died on me, so I decided since my whole family has Imacs or Macbooks to go that route!
This is my first day using it!
The thing I'm most excited about is learning how to work with photos and post them!
If anyone has a Macbook and has any helpful advice, let me know!!

yay for a macbook! all your photos will go in your iPhoto. you have to export them to your desktop to post them on here. to do that.. you click on the photo, go to file and click export... hit enter twice and voila!

I'm kinda on the fence about MAC. I love my ipod and the iphone, but I'm not a fan of the notebooks. I've used them a few times and I feel completely lost. Lol. I've had 2 HP laptops. The first one lasted me 3 years. I just got a new one. I've thought about getting a 13 inch MAC book, just to use at school and carry around with me. Are they really that great for editing photos and graphic stuff??:confused: :confused:

they are VERY confusing at first. when i first got my MacBook i thought i had made a horrible mistake and wanted to send it back.. but now i wouldnt' change it for anything. I dont' do much photo editing but i hear it can do amazing things.

i don't have to do that. i just click on browse then go to pictures --> iphoto library --> data ---> year --->then pick the folder that the picture is in. I never have to resize anything, it does it automatically for me. i have an easier time posting pics with my macbook then with my old dell laptop.

hmm... well i haven't put my pictures in a folder... but you could be right.. i'm going to go try it right now!

I love mine too!!! I have the macbook pro and I wouldn't change it for anything!!!! I don't think I will ever go back to a windows computer again!! I'm definitely hooked :D

I don't have, nor have ever had anything Mac...other than my iPod..but I have been getting more and more into graphics and photo/movie editing and have a friend who's gotten an Oscar for editing....she told me that the ONLY way to go if you're going to be serious about it is MAC. I kind of had that feeling b/c I used to work for someone who also had a scientifically based coloring book company and they only used MAC also (I didn't work for that arm of the company tho). So, now I have to figure out how serious I am about it b/c it will mean ALL new computer stuff (OH BUMMER;) )

This will be great! I had the Millenium edition on my Dell and it was all junk and I couldn't do anything! It didn't support anything!

I considered the Pro, to have a little larger display. I know there are more advantages, but I was worried about the display! I just decided I couldn't spend the extra money at this time. My Brother has one though and loves it!
